Darcy rested for a while and went to the kitchen to prepare some cakes. She asked the housekeeper about Zoey's whereabouts. She was told that Zoey and Yvonne were at the pavilion playing with the twins.
"Ms. Fuller, Ms. Carter, Mr. Kayden, Ms. Kayla!" Darcy greeted them as she served the cakes.
Kayla's eyes lit up as she noticed the delicious cakes, but she quickly suppressed her glee and pretended to greet Darcy calmly, "Have you had your rest, Ms. Chappelle?"
"Thank you for your concern, Ms. Kayla. I did rest well, and I feel much better now," replied Darcy. "I woke up and went to the kitchen to make some cakes for Ms. Fuller."
Zoey raised her eyebrows and looked at Darcy. "Ms. Chappelle, we had only just met each other. I don't think we're that close enough for you to take the initiative and prepare food for me."
