~Bella's POV
I needed a breather from everything, the whirlwind of emotions I'd been riding lately. So I decided to check on Mia. It had been a while since I spent proper time with her, and guilt had started to creep in. She was still recovering at the hospital, and knowing Mia, she was probably restless and bored out of her mind.
I pulled on a simple sundress, tied my hair back, and grabbed some snacks and a few magazines she liked. Just as I was heading out, my phone buzzed. It was Noah.
Noah: "Hey, thinking of checking in on Mia today. Want to meet there?"
I smiled at the timing.
Me: "Already on my way. See you there."
When I got to the hospital, I found Mia sitting up in bed, headphones in, bobbing her head to music. She lit up the second she saw me, tossing the headphones aside.
"Bella!" she squealed, arms opening for a hug.
I walked over, placing the snacks and gifts on the side table, and wrapped her in a careful hug. "You look better already," I smiled.
