~Bella's POV
I woke up suddenly, the phone ringing loudly, pulling me from my sleep. My heart started racing, and I quickly grabbed the phone, still feeling sleepy and disoriented.
"Hello?" My voice sounded rough and tired.
"It's Noah's lawyer. You need to come to the prison right now," he said, his voice serious.
I sat up in bed, my heart thumping faster. "Is Noah okay?" I asked, my mind racing with worry.
"Come right away, Bella. It's important," he replied, not giving me any details.
I didn't wait for more. I jumped out of bed, panic rising in my chest. What was going on? What had happened to Noah? I needed to get to him, fast.
I didn't even think about taking a shower. I just grabbed some clothes, a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, and hurried to put them on. I didn't care about how I looked. All that mattered was getting to the prison.
But then, it hit me. I had no money. I couldn't afford a cab. My stomach dropped, and I felt stuck. How was I supposed to get there?
