At first Tristan had not noticed the attacker. His focus had been completely on Ariel. By the time that he'd seen him, it had almost been too late. But he had still yelled out. And that had saved Ariel's life because she had been able to duck. By the time that he had finally been able to reach the two of them and place himself between Ariel and the danger, Tristan had been relieved because when he had turned to her, all he'd seen was just a shallow cut on her arm.
One that had not been bleeding that much.
"Good, she's safe," He had thought.
"Now I just have to focus on protecting her," And for however long their fight had lasted, Tristan had gone at the man who had dared to cut his wife with everything in him. He had fought and fought, coming back up from hits that should have knocked him unconscious, because he'd known that, if he were to fall, then Ariel would be in danger. That was what had kept him going.
