Some people required absolute silence in order to be able to work. Peter was not one of those people. For him, silence was unnerving. Whenever it got to be too quiet, he found himself tensing up, feeling as though he were waiting for something to go wrong.
At first, Peter had thought that that applied only when he was working on some art pieces. Because he often found it easier to create while listening to music or if there was somebody talking in the background. But he had found that that was not true. Even when doing other things like just trying to relax, Peter often found it easier to lie back and breathe if there was background noise. like maybe a tv blaring or rain falling.
