Shinobu knew Zenitsu wasn't lacking in talent; his self-perception was hampered by his personality.
"Really? I'm that strong? Did I really kill that demon?" Zenitsu sat up, excited and incredulous. He barely remembered what happened at Spider Mountain, only a dreamlike state before waking up unconscious, using his Breathing Style to slow the poison's spread until Shinobu arrived.
Shinobu affirmed, "Yes! Zenitsu is very strong! I believe you can master Total Concentration Constant!" She took his hands, holding them tightly in hers.
"Once you master Total Concentration Constant, we can fight side-by-side! I'm looking forward to going on missions with you, Zenitsu!"
Shinobu pressed her advantage, using her beauty to ignite his fighting spirit.
Zenitsu, easily swayed, blushed crimson.
"Ah~~~" He cried out in excitement.
"I'll do it!" He leaped out the window, joining Tanjiro and Inosuke in their training.
His excitement stemmed from misinterpreting Shinobu's words as a veiled confession. To gain the chance to work with her, he threw himself into the training.
Shinobu smiled, happy to see Zenitsu's renewed determination.
Though unaware of their conversation, Tanjiro was happy to see Zenitsu finally training.
Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke diligently practiced Total Concentration Constant, their days filled with purpose.
Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi were happy to see their efforts.
"Let's take them lunch!"
"Mmm-hmm! And the gourds Sister Shinobu asked us to deliver!"
They placed the lunch and gourds on the wooden walkway outside.
"Everyone, lunch time!" Naho called out to the exhausted trio.
Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke eagerly approached and began eating.
Tanjiro noticed three gourds. "What's in these gourds?" he asked.
Sumi replied, "Nothing. They're for blowing."
Tanjiro was even more confused. They weren't made into flutes, and there were no holes. How were they supposed to be blown?
