"That's the boyfriend you were with for five years?" Bonnie asked, watching Cathy's expression carefully.
Cathy's gaze lingered on the way Wendy was holding the man's arm, her lashes trembling slightly.
She nodded. "Yeah. That's Kerr Capela."
"When the old goes, the new comes."
"I know," Cathy said, her chest tightening. "But it's the first time I've seen them together with my own eyes... and they really do look affectionate."
Kerr's eyes swept across the room and suddenly met Cathy's. He froze, and instinctively took a step toward her.
But just as he moved, the woman beside him clung tightly to his arm. Wendy's voice was sweet and coy. "Honey, I'm not feeling well."
Up ahead, Cathy had already turned her eyes away. Kerr's heart sank. He glanced back at Wendy, frowning. "What's wrong?"
"I'm not sure. I feel a little dizzy." She held his arm tighter. "You should stay with me more."

Kerr looked again in Cathy's direction, but she never spared him another glance.
