Chapter 98 - Faceless

Aralang nudged the dead body of Lavenus aside and took the 'Phone' that was inside his pocket. He felt the item for sometime before keeping it in a pocket in his suit.

The Hologram quickly appeared before him and Aralang knew why it came to him. He was currently on 55 souls and it was mandatory for him to make a wish now.

Before Aralang made his decision he remembered a conversation with his father. He didn't remember his father's face since it had been a long time since he had passed away, but the words he spoke changed Aralang forever.

It was on a hill on an island close to the Holy Springs as they watched the sunset and relaxed on the top.

"We are Fishmen, Aralang," said his father.

Aralang tilted his head and turned to look at his father.

"We are warriors who fought for everything, behind every small convenience there were hundreds of inconveniences," explained his father.

"I understand," said Aralang.

His father chuckled and patted his head.

"Not now, you won't even if you say you do. You will when I am long gone," replied his father.

The thrill of a fight, the growth that comes while defeating someone and changing them. Nothing in this world will come without a good fight. For Aralang's father a fight might have been sentimental but to him it is the perfect activity to pass time until his eventual death. A maniac who was obsessed with getting stronger and getting an easy buck out of a fight. He was not human. He was Fishmen.

"Make all ten colonies into one big colony," ordered Aralang.

"Wish has been complete," said the Hologram in its robotic voice.

The Hologram expanded like before and started to explain to the entire City.

"The second wish of these Chronicles has been fulfilled! The entire City is under one singular colony called Colony 1, the barriers will slowly shrink day by day however and now everyone in the City is free to move wherever they wish to in the City," explained the Hologram.

As the Hologram disappeared, Aralang opened his 'Phone' and thought for a minute.

"This has lost half its value now since all the barriers of the colonies are taken down," pouted Aralang.

"Yet it was for the thrill of battle," smirked Aralang as he put it back into his pocket.

Suddenly a pink light shone above him as the night sky shone brightly. Day Two was going to be over soon. Aralang looked up to see a lady floating in the sky with a virtual and mystical box in her hand.

"Yo, I am going to need that," said Emily as she pointed at the 'Phone' in Aralang's pocket.

"Ah you came, I am in an extremely good mood please don't ruin it," challenged Aralang, smirking widely.

In Colony 1,

"Tsk," said Regis.

The Hologram had just disappeared and Regis was now aware of the new wish that had been just added. Since Regis used his fifty souls to add the 'Phone' he was not as big of a target now due to his immense strength and low amount of souls. Yet, he was annoyed that his wish had been effectively cancelled out by a random fishman.

Regis still thought having Colony 1's 'Phone' would still be useful since it would be an effective way of communication to the outside world if needed and it would be a good bribe in case a wish would be added where they can exchange souls like currency. Not like he has anyone on the outside Except one, an old friend that had helped him escape the Land of the Samurai.

The new wish would make it much easier to catch Chituru Zakura as he just has to run and search now like a tiger hunting a deer in an enclosed area.

"Sorcery of Gravity:- Matter Blast," screamed Aldarian.

A huge purple blast exploded the nearby area as Regis quickly blocked it with his sword and found Aldarian and Deoxys fighting and the damage rapidly adding up. With each punch more and more dust would be lifted and more rubble would be formed as these two calamities fought against each other.

If Azer Walker had not defeated the both of them in the Old Era then the Northguard City in which they were standing on would not be present at all.

"Aldarian and Deoxys total souls 86 huh?" thought Regis with a smirk.

"Finally! You stopped running like a scaredy cat and came to face me!" screamed Deoxys.

Bloodthirst and their respective blue and red auras filled the atmosphere around them. And with a leap of faith, Regis jumped into the fight with a deep breath and a clenched rusted sword.

Deoxys and Aldarian did not notice Regis until two seconds as they were too busy in fighting and the large amount of soul energy being released from the both of them hid Regis extremely well.

Then they noticed a gap. Almost like a void. They cannot feel it but they know that someone is there. Only when they used their eyes and not the innate sixth sense of sensing soul energy did they find Regis Zyke standing on the battlefield.

Even though they knew that Regis Zyke was at the top, they did not know how Regis Zyke looked nor the fact that he had no soul energy and that his soul was empty. Therefore they simply ignored him deeming him as an innocent bystander.

But that changed when,

"Soul Realm:- Infinite Bending Wormhole," said Aldarian.

"Soul Realm:- Eden's Tree of Time," said Deoxys.

Now if one person opens a soul realm then the inside of that person's soul consumes the surrounding land inside a barrier formed by soul energy. In this barrier the person who casted the realm is supreme and has all control of their surroundings and soul energy as their 'Ability' is shrouded in every atom in the barrier.

Yet if there are two people opening their realm at once, there will be a clash between the barriers and whichever barrier stands the longest by constant supply of soul energy and concentration will win the clash. If there are three or more, whoever loses the clash first will be kicked out of the clash and will deal with heavy fatigue and body aches and pain.

And among these two giants Regis opened his soul realm.

"Soul Realm:- Land Devoid of Souls," said Regis.

In Colony 4,

Courage. Fuel. Revenge.

These were the words resonating in Sunny's mind as he broke the shell of the meteorite to enter the battlefield where Yvette was fighting a sorcerer. After working tirelessly for Suzumi or Xeno he got brutally backstabbed. His entire demonic soul was thirsty for revenge. The entire surroundings became fiery hot as Sunny unleashed his blade and got ready to strike.

"Elemental Magic:- Abyss Flames,"

Purple flames emerged from Sunny's blade as he struck down the foe who caught on fire and started to scream in pain. Yvette looked at Sunny in shock.

"+1 soul" said the Hologaram that appeared in front of him.

In the God of Sages soul space,

"I am sending you to Colony 4 of Northguard City during the Colosseum Chronicles," said the God of Sages.

A stream of information that formed in God's hands went directly into the astral consciousness that was in front of him. The information detailed the rules of the Chronicles and his goal there which was to protect Yvette due to her unique orb which has enhanced soul manipulation. According to the God of Sages, Xeno would not care even if he had to make his wife into an avatar for his benefits.

Once he has soul manipulation it would be the final piece in the puzzle to fulfil his master plan and he sent Sunny to find out what the plan was.

In order to craft a fifth-dimension being you need a soul, a consciousness, and a body. The soul was retrieved from River Styx in the Fifth dimension by the God of Sages, the consciousness was re-crafted from the Mother of Dead and the God of Memories fully re-building the consciousness of Sunny. However Xeno had quickly disposed of the body of Sunny so in which body did Sunny inhabit?

As the flames surrounded them, Yvette ran closer with her staff and quickly turned Sunny's pale skinned face towards her side and looked at his dark blue eyes.

"You…you were supposed to be dead," said Yvette in shock as she took a step back.

Sunny was silent. The face of Everlin spoke everything that he wanted to say.

"You…Aren't Everlin. You are truly Faceless," said Yvette.
