Chapter 97 - Lunatic

"Home? Do you mean this is…"

"Yes, the Land of the Samurai," replied Danso.

"How did we even get out of the prison in the first place? Who were you talking to?" asked Hiroshi.

"I don't know it's a leap of faith I guess," sighed Danso.

The plains extended far towards the horizon as the sun was setting down. The land was beautiful with rice fields and windmills all across the plains with green and yellow grass filling the land beneath them.

"Uh so how do we leave? We have to get to Northguard City with the others," asked Hiroshi.

Danso looked at the clear sky with the sun painting a beautiful blend of yellow, orange, and red across the setting horizon.

"For a land that's so violent and grim today seems like a good day," said Danso.

"Idiot, answer my question," snapped Hiroshi.

"I don't even know!" snapped back Danso.

"How? You lived here!" sighed Hiroshi.

"I never really left the Narahara Dojo but if my guess is right…"

Danso pointed to a nearby sign on a road that diverged into two. The sign was made out of wood with the words being carved into the wood and the road was a normal pathway with sand, gravel, and dirt paths.

"Ah the Akira Prefecture is this way and the Narahara Prefecture is this way," said Danso.

"Danso Narahara so we go towards the Narahara path then?" asked Hiroshi.

"Correct…But meeting my clan would be a pain for me," groaned Danso.

Danso was stuck between the two roads before he scratched his neck and then started walking towards the Narahara Prefecture.

The closer they got to the Prefecture more and more buildings started to appear with houses, hotels, and restaurants in plenty. Men with horses riding to their destinations and Caravans with multiple people inside while the women tend to work inside their homes and the children run around playing with their friends.

Danso went inside one of the hotels called 'Kuroko Maison' and booked a room for him and Hiroshi.

"Why are we staying outside the Prefecture and not camping anywhere?" asked Hiroshi.

"The rogues will come and kill us in our sleep plus if they know I am Danso Narahara they'll hunt us down till we die," replied Danso.

"Then what name did you use? Don't tell me it was 'Lance Shire' again," laughed Hiroshi.

"I used Hiroshi Yashiro," laughed back Danso.

Hiroshi grumbled and muttered to himself before posing a question to Danso.

"Why would they hunt you down though you are Narahara aren't you?" asked Hiroshi.

Danso paused for a minute.

"I am but ever since I was a child they always kept an eye on me like I was some test subject and once I ran away from home, uh let's say they don't have the best impression of me," explained Danso.

"So should we have used the path of the Akira Prefecture then?" asked Hiroshi.

"That's even worse when I ran away from the household it was with the help of Regis Akira, a person with no soul energy at all, so they would instantly mortify me and I helped Regis fake his death and escape to the Starry Kingdom, so they'd hunt him down as well," explained Danso.

"Then what's the plan? What do we do to get out of here?" asked Hiroshi.

"First, the Land of the Samurai drifts in a circle due to the currents of the Endless Sea so we need a map to figure out exactly where we are and find an efficient way to sneak out of here and since I am Narahara we aren't trespassing as well," said Danso.

"And then we need to find a way to communicate with the others in Northguard City and get there as soon as possible," said Hiroshi.

"Bingo," replied Danso, snapping his fingers and pointing them towards Hiroshi.

In Colony 2,

Aranlang leaped across the destroyed rubble and quickly reached the site where the phone was. There were multiple sorcerers who were fighting, eager to take each other's souls and escape. To normal sorcerers they never wanted to be here and with their wits they quickly deduced that with the addition of a 'Phone' means more crowds in a small area where the 'Phone' was therefore more people to kill and get souls from and then go home.

Reincarnated sorcerers that Xeno made a contract with wanted their freedom. They died in ways they did not want to and wanted to be revived and given a second chance or made a contract with Xeno to be revived for only this event that Xeno was planning.

But why would Xeno call around one-thousand sorcerers to Northguard City and how did Xeno revive over four-hundred sorcerers to play this 'game' of his? This was the main question that ran throughout Aralang's mind.

The only people that Xeno would have to make a contract with to play are the Reincarnated Sorcerers since their revival has to be with consent otherwise they'd reincarnate with evil imbedded in their soul turning into a 'Spirit' which can wreak havoc all across the Fourth Dimension. The Fifth-Dimension is filled with these 'Spirits' and other dangerous creatures and it is truly the most dangerous dimension of them all.

However for normal sorcerers there was no contract required, Xeno just teleported them all here by turning them into avatars and then removing his soul from their souls essentially turning them back into their normal and conscious selves with no sign of his presence at all.

Aralang unleashed his aura throughout the surroundings causing a wave of blue energy to emerge from his scaly skin. Multiple sorcerers fainted blue from the aura alone as he twisted his revolver barrel waiting for the perfect time to strike.

The weak sorcerers would obviously bundle up into groups to show their strength. One such group was none other than the group led by Reincarnated Sorcerer Lavenus who was a sage from Indus who promised them all salvation from the Chronicles and the mercy of the Sins they performed in their past.

This group currently hoarded the phone for themselves and were using it to find out the location of other sorcerers who were on their own and let the members communicate with their families outside the barriers.

"Such fools let them communicate with their loved ones to gain trust just for Lavenus to kill them all in the end for his own benefit," thought Aralang.

"Whoever can find Emily Nobira, currently on 17 souls crossing Yvette, will have a sure exit ticket out of the Chronicles!" ordered Lavenus.

The crowd cheered in agreement as they all started to rush and try to capture Emily Nobira. Suddenly another sorcerer came running into the surroundings to talk to Lavenus.

"Sir! Sir! A few of our boys fainted due to some blue aura coming off from the rubble over there," said a sorcerer.

The sorcerer pointed towards Aralang's present location but he quickly turned on his 'Essense' and quickly gained access and jumbled up with the massive group of people that gathered near Lavenus.

Lavenus was currently on 9 souls which is small especially considering the amount of people he managed to sweet talk. Once he betrays all the people that trusted him by Day Three he should cross the 50 soul requirement and run away from this place with ease.

Aralang chuckled. What he was about to do was practically a suicide mission. Around twenty-five sorcerers plus a Reincarnated sorcerer around him and he was going to try to kill them all.

"Sorcery of the Dead Sea:- Shark Break," said Aralang.

His gun started to pick up soul energy as the entire crowd looked at him and then quickly realised what was going to happen. Lavenus's expression quickly turned from amusement to horror as Aralang shot towards the sky. Water started to attract to the bullet in the sky as eventually it stopped and then split into multiple high pressure and sharp beams that instantly speared into the surrounding sorcerers.

Multiple sorcerers tried to attack Aralang but he quickly dodged them all with his suit flapping behind him and he quickly shot all the attackers and knocked them out with his bare fists when he could not shoot due to reload time.

Lavenus tried to scurry away as he fell on his knees but then suddenly a beam of hardened water quickly stabbed him and he fell onto his knees.

"+31 souls! Now on 55 souls:- Aralang!" said the Hologram.

The Lunatic who would cruise the sea for money and thrill and the reason why Pirates in the Endless Sea go to bed at 8 P.M was about to make his wish.
