Xuan chuckles, with a deadly gaze that almost made Han step backwards. He looked at his uncle and added,
"The first one is the Son of Heaven's daughter, Li Zhi, and the second one is you, Uncle Han."
Son of Heaven's daughter was undoubtedly familiar to Han. Of course she was; he had secretly paid her for cultivating sessions once in the past.
"You little brat."
But that wasn't what pissed him off; it was because Xuan had the guts to mention him as one of them. Without thinking, Han kicked Xuan's stick away.
And Xuan saw himself falling to the ground without his support. "Who's the cripple now, uh?" Han yelled.
He effortlessly picked Xuan by the collar. He was at early Martial Realm Stage 03, a weakling indeed, but that did not change the fact he had enhanced strength and more.
"You brat, maybe you've forgotten how I messed you up last time."
A mistake his uncle shouldn't have repeated—it woke the killer inside of Xuan, and without his uncle realizing, the dagger appeared in Xuan's grip.
He could end this fat foot right here and now; forget about letting him suffer before he comes back a few years later to kill him.
Xuan gripped the dagger tight, gritting his teeth, fat veins erupting on the surface of his grip.
Just place the dagger on his uncle's neck and kill him—that was the repeated idea circulating in his head.
"What is happening here?"
However, as he heard the voice of his mother, Xuan concealed the dagger again.
"Can you believe this little prick threatening he'd cripple me?"
Even his mother was shocked, but after Han slammed Xuan against the wooden table, breaking his body through it, Xuan groaned, holding his ribs.
"That's enough," his mother had to intervene, and so the young master Fang Yuan walked into the gathering room.
First, he saw Xuan lying on the broken table and his father-in-law pissed off.
"What happened here?"
"Just a little family issue that has been resolved," Xuan's mother quickly replied.
Fang Yuan did not think much of that and picked Xuan's stick, dropping it beside him as he squatted, stretching a letter.
"Remember your request? The letter came a few days ago, but I couldn't find you anywhere in the sect. Sorry—are you hurt?"
Xuan's heart melted. For god's sake, why would Fang Yuan be a nice person? Of course, Xuan was an ambitious freak, but not one without conscience.
He was going to use Fang Yuan to destroy Han's meridian and make his uncle a cripple, but this guy was by far the first person to treat him nicely even as a cripple.
Xuan stretched his hands to collect the letter. It was an acceptance form for the Dual Academy in the Harem Empire.
Fang Yuan really did have the biggest connection he had seen. Without Xuan needing to write the exam, he was already accepted as a student.
"I figured you couldn't pass the exam because it's a dual cultivation test, so I decided to just enroll you in it."
Dual A Class—the top cultivators in the academy. Without a doubt, Xuan was certain he would find Xue Ming there, his crush that's starting to fade.
"Thank... thank you," said Xuan.
"Is that how you thank someone? You should be kissing his feet and thanking him."
"No, no need. Come on, let me help you stand up." Fang Yuan assisted Xuan by the shoulder until Xuan was able to stand on his own with the sticks.
And as for Uncle Han, it would have to be something far worse than using Fang Yuan, because Xuan was going to keep this connection between them.
"Oh, and Xuan, don't lose the letter. Without it, I'm sure you won't be allowed in the academy."
Xuan thanked Fang Yuan again before leaving the gathering room and heading towards his. On his way, he saw a group of guards talking about bringing a woman from any brothel to cultivate.
Xuan sighed when they noticed him eavesdropping, and he quickly walked away to his room. Shutting the door, he dropped the sticks beside his bed.
The next twin moon is tomorrow. He knows how to cripple his uncle and is now concentrating on Li Zhi.
It wasn't easy for the case of Li Zhi; he needed to drink meridian poison before tomorrow so it would settle within him.
Then, when cultivating with Li Zhi, instead of releasing Yin, Xuan would release the settled meridian poison.
However, there was a catch—if the poison isn't released before the next two days, Xuan would risk poisoning himself.
Though there was an antidote, it was rare, which was why crippling Li Zhi wasn't going to be easy.
And that was just one part of it. He also needed a way to infiltrate the Son of Heaven's compound and enter Li Zhi's room to cultivate with her.
"But first," Xuan sighed. He walked out of the sect, going out to buy the poison and, of course, a mask.
The town was a very busy area, and Xuan was famously known as the trash cultivator who had broken meridians and was also a cripple.
"Yeah, that's him right there, hahaha."
Like now—they were laughing at him, but Xuan just avoided it all and was heading towards the potion store ahead.
This whole town was governed by three sons, and the Son of Heaven was the third, so his compound was heavily guarded as an important figure in the town.
"How may I help you, cripple boy?"
Like everyone else, the store owner referred to Xuan as cripple boy. He approached her; business was booming at the sides.
People were walking to and fro, which was why Xuan was popular here for selling dual medicines, but these people were also mad people.
They'd do anything, including beating up the cripple and taking away his medicines without paying, which was why Xuan stopped coming here to sell.
He sighed. "Well, I need meridian poison. How much is it?"
"Hmm, how much do you have?" asked the old lady with a pin holding her grey ponytail hairstyle.
"I have six gold pieces, two times higher than its normal price."
"Ah, I see—you also want me to trade you information, eh?"
Xuan nodded. He needed to know about the compound directly facing the old lady's shop—it was the Son of Heaven's compound with five guards standing at the gate.
And if there's anyone who knows what's going on, it would be this old lady sitting here day and night.
"Well, that'll have to cost you eight gold pieces then."
Lucky for Xuan, the slave trader he encountered in the forest gave him ten gold pieces for the dual medicine, so Xuan added two more gold pieces.
"Start talking."
