Queen Granite kissed his temple softly, her voice gentle as she brushed his shaking back with her hand. "Teacher knows you were trying to help. And she loves you very much, my pebble. She must be so relieved you're home and safe."
Rocky sniffed, rubbing his tears away with the back of his tiny hand as he lifted his head, his eyes still shimmering. "R-really?"
"Really," Boulder King said with a warm, comforting smile.
Queen Granite cupped Rocky's face tenderly, her thumbs brushing away the last drops on his cheeks. "Our little pebble is loved by so many. Don't cry anymore."
