"Exactly, Zane," Alfie said quietly, his gaze never once leaving mine. "Seeing you sick, fainting like that… it's painful. We want you to be happy, not drowning in pain and sadness because of us. Your health, your peace, your well-being... that's what matters to us."
What the actual hell is going on right now?
I ran both hands through my hair and placed them on my head as a terrible headache struck me....sharp and blinding.
But then, it's fine. That wasn't what was bothering me the most.
What truly pressed at me is the situation between them and Simon. That... was far more unsettling.
At least from the Alphas' words now, it was clear.....there had been no time loop.
They remembered everything.
I swallowed the lump in my throat as I braced myself and asked, voice low, trembling, "A...and what's the situation? About the revelation I made back in the garden?"
