*Nota: I'm writing the chapters I told you the other day, you know, the chapters about improve Akira's relationship with the girls and I admit that is going better than I think. Is the first time I did chapter with so much quality.
Have a good day :)
...
Dita was surprised because she never expected Princess Momo to want to talk to her, but... how could she refuse a request from the Princess and future Queen? She didn't have the courage, and besides, she needed to get along with everyone.
"Of course," Dita nodded.
Dita was wearing a beautiful yellow pajama set that covered her small body perfectly.
"I'll come in then," Momo said.
Momo entered.
"May I sit down?" Momo asked.
"Yes, you can sit wherever you like!" Dita nodded.
Momo nodded and sat next to Dita.
"To begin with, you don't need to speak to me so formally. From now on, we'll be living together, and I wouldn't like you to treat me so formally," Momo said. She didn't like formalities very much either.
"Alright," Dita nodded. But she was still a little nervous.
"Now, I'll tell you the reason why I came tonight, but first, tell me the truth. Do you like Yami, or is it really just admiration?" Momo asked.
Dita went silent for a few seconds, not knowing what to say. Should she tell the truth? Lie? But the other party seemed very serious about it and appeared to know the answer... What would happen if she lied?
"I beg you to tell me the truth so we can continue our conversation," Momo said.
"Well... I actually like her a little bit," Dita finally said.
But after that...
"Ah, but my goal in coming here is not to interfere in your relationship. I just wanted to live with my idol. I don't have any other objectives. In fact, I am happy for Yami; finding the place where she belongs and, above all, finding love, is truly something to celebrate!" Dita rushed to say.
Seeing Dita's nervousness, Momo just smiled.
"And what do you think of my Akira? Do you like him, or do you just see him as the person who stole your romantic interest?" Momo asked.
"This... I don't see it that way. I don't know him well, but he seems like a kind person; after all, not just anyone would consider letting a complete stranger like me live in their house," Dita said.
During these few minutes, she had been able to observe Akira's kind side, but nothing more; after all, they had only been talking for a few minutes. Still, someone with a bad personality would have undoubtedly kicked her out, so at least her first impression of him was very good.
"Alright, I'm glad to hear that your first impression of him is at least good," Momo said. It was a very important first step.
"Yes, besides. How could someone Yami chose be bad? I am convinced that Akira is a good person, but I still have to see it for myself," Dita said. She believed in Yami's judgment, but she wanted to see what Akira was truly like with her own eyes.
"You will soon discover his greatness. The exact same thing happened to Nana and me. At first, we were somewhat insecure and dissatisfied that our sister had chosen a fiancé, but when we started living with him... we realized what he was really like, and we fell in love with him in a matter of days, and it is possible that the same will happen to you," Momo said.
"I am not closed off to a relationship. After all, it's not like I'm a lesbian or anything like that; I just like Yami a little bit, but only because she is who she is... Normally, I like guys, and Akira seems... an excellent guy, so I am not completely closed off to having a relationship with him. I just hope to fall in love with him; after all, I've had enough of arranged marriages. I want to be in love with my next partner," Dita said.
"Were you married before?" Momo asked curiously.
"Engaged. I was engaged to Murlus V, but he was sentenced to death when the King found out he had hired an assassin to kill Akira," Dita explained.
"I see... Did he touch you? I heard that man was very lustful and collected many women of different races," Momo asked curiously.
"No... I had an agreement with my father. He wouldn't touch me until I reached the age of majority, which in my race is less than a year away," Dita explained.
"So she's a virgin? Perfect!" Momo thought.
"My father sold me to that fat ball for power and money," Dita said.
"Is that why you came here instead of going back home when Murlus was sentenced to death?" Momo asked.
"Yes... I no longer have a family on my planet. My father sold me to gain power and money, while my mother died years ago from an incurable disease, so there was no longer a place for me on my planet. It was then that it occurred to me to come to Earth, to find Yami, the only person I have left... I know she didn't even know of my existence, but I liked to think she did. That's why, when the King offered me this opportunity, I took it without hesitation," Dita explained.
An ex-noble with no home to return to, no family who could care for her, an ex-noble who could only come to Earth with the goal of becoming friends with the person she idolized, a last attempt to belong somewhere.
"I'm sorry for what happened to you, but you can feel at home here," Momo said with a smile.
Momo's smile cheered Dita up a little.
"That smile... it looks a lot like the one my mother gave me whenever I was sad..." Dita said in a melancholic tone.
"I'm glad, I suppose," Momo said.
For a few moments, the room fell silent until Momo broke the silence.
"Do you want to go to school with us?" Momo asked.
"School? Are you going to school on such a... primitive planet? I doubt they can teach you anything besides their planet's history," Dita said, confused.
As a noble, she had already attended school years ago and graduated, so she was sure the princesses would also have attended a school or at least been taught at home with the best tutors, which is why she couldn't understand why they were going to school.
"We only go to spend more time with Akira and have a little fun. Of course, we already know everything they teach," Momo said.
To give you an idea, Momo's knowledge is so extensive that she could easily get a doctorate, and it's not that doing so is easy, but what is taught at the university on this planet is taught in high school in the rest of the galaxy; that's how big the difference is between Earth and the rest of the galaxy.
"And you want me to go too? Why?" Dita asked.
"There are several reasons. The first is to have fun, the second is because you will be able to see Yami more often, and the third and most important... you will be able to see firsthand what Akira is like, and that will help you fall in love with him," Momo said.
Dita weighed her options. The idea wasn't bad; she would spend more time with her idol and, at the same time, get to know Akira, and maybe what Momo had said would happen.
Don't misunderstand Dita; being with Akira was one of her goals in coming here, although at first, her goal wasn't to fall in love with him... after seeing him, she changed her mind. Maybe falling in love wouldn't be bad; no, it wouldn't, because if she fell in love, she might be able to leave behind that impossible love she felt for Yami.
She wanted to stay close to Yami, but she didn't want her feelings of love for her to grow; she wanted to remain by her side as a friend, as a companion. That's why falling in love with Akira was the best option.
Just imagine it: if that happened, she would spend her life with the love of her life and her idol. Isn't that simply a dream life?
"Fine, I'll go to school and see if what you say about Akira is true, and if it's true that I fall in love with him. I'm not closed off to a relationship with Akira; if it happens, it happens," Dita said.
Momo was surprised because at first, she thought Dita would be reticent due to her feelings for Yami, but far from being reticent, she seemed to want to fall in love with Akira. It seemed as if she wanted to leave her feelings for Yami behind, and falling in love with someone else was the ideal way to achieve it.
"One week," Momo said.
"Will I be able to attend school in one week?" Dita asked, confused.
"No, I mean that in one week, you will have already fallen in love with him," Momo denied.
She and Nana took even less time, which is why she doubted that someone like Dita, who seemed to want to fall in love, would last long without liking Akira. All the girls who have dealt with Akira for a week or more have fallen in love with him; they themselves could attest to that.
Although Momioka, Mio, and Yui were not yet in his harem, it wouldn't take long for them to be, so it wasn't worth excluding them. In fact, besides her sister... wasn't Kari the one who took the least time to fall in love with Akira? According to what she told them, she only needed to spend one afternoon with him to fall in love with Akira, and now, just two weeks later, they were already a couple.
It is for all these reasons that Momo thought Dita wouldn't last even a week.
"Do you really think it will take me so little time? I mean, apart from Yami, I have never liked anyone, and it's not like I am madly in love with Yami; I just like her a little. What makes you think I'll fall in love with him in one week?" Dita asked, confused.
Dita was open to falling in love with Akira and would even be proactive about it, but... she highly doubted she would be able to fall in love in one week.
"Do you know that the same thing happened to my sister and me? We received dozens of love letters daily, all from influential nobles, some as ugly as Murlus and others more handsome than Akira, but none caught our attention. In fact, when we came down to Earth, it didn't even cross our minds to fall in love with Akira, but less than a week later, we fell in love with him and became engaged to him. I was in the same situation as you and had the same thought, but in the end, I didn't last even a week with that mindset. Akira is not just kind, honest, attentive, affectionate, and protective; he also has something that attracts beautiful girls, and if you don't believe me... let's make a bet," Momo said.
"A bet? What kind of bet?" Dita asked curiously.
"If you fall in love with Akira in one week or less, you will have to confess your feelings to him in front of everyone, but I won't be too cruel; you'll do it at home, in front of me and my sisters," Momo said.
"Alright, but... What happens if you lose?" Dita said.
"I don't think I'll lose, but if I do... you will have the opportunity to ask me to do anything for you, as long as it's nothing excessive," Momo said.
"Something for me? Mmm, it's a deal," Dita said.
Although it would be very difficult for her to fulfill the bet if she lost, if she won, she could ask the princess for a favor. What could she ask for? Perhaps a walk with Yami? Go shopping with her? Go to the movies? Of course, all as friends, but... that wasn't realistic; Yami would never agree and would also misunderstand her pure intentions. Anyway, she would think of something if she won the bet.
"Then I will wait for your answer in one week, but be honest about it. I will be watching you closely all week; you won't be able to lie to me even if you want to," Momo said.
"I would never lie in a bet," Dita said.
If she loses, she loses. If she wins, she wins. Either way, she wouldn't lose out in either case; it would just be a little embarrassing to confess in front of everyone, that's all.
{Note: Don't worry, like I said before, she is confusing her admiration with love and Momo knows about this but she wants to Dita to notice it by herself. I didn't want to tell you such spoiler but there're always people who thinks that I'll make yuri, so I have to clarify this.}
