After the operation ended, Sensei, Rin, Ako, Yuuka, Suzumi, and the others gathered at the entrance of the building.
"Phew… I still can't believe it…"
Yuuka wiped the sweat from her forehead. "We actually beat them."
"It's all thanks to Sensei's plan and leadership." Suzumi was in high spirits. "It's been so long since I've had such a satisfying battle."
"I have to admit, you've got some real skills." Ako, who had initially underestimated Sensei, was now impressed. "Driving off the infamous Fox of Calamity all by yourself… I definitely misjudged you."
"Sensei, you're amazing!" Kirino's eyes sparkled with admiration. "I followed your shooting instructions, and I hit every single target! Even I can't believe it!"
"Well, well~ It's always best when we can win easily," Fubuki chimed in with a pleased expression.
"We managed to drive off the Helmet Gang and the delinquents thanks to everyone's efforts." Sensei genuinely appreciated the eight girls standing before him. "I sincerely thank all of you for your help."
"Hehe, Sensei, you're too kind," Hasumi smiled. "If you ever have time, feel free to visit the Justice Task Force anytime."
"The Seminar at Millennium Academy extends the same invitation," Yuuka added. "If you need help, I can assist in managing Schale's finances."
"Of course, the Gehenna Disciplinary Committee welcomes you anytime," Ako said with a smirk.
"Sensei, if you ever need a bodyguard, just call me," Suzumi offered confidently.
"Sensei, Sensei! The Public Safety Bureau is also happy to have you!"
…
Looking at the students offering their goodwill, Sensei felt a deep warmth in his heart.
Maybe they had their own reasons for inviting him, but their smiles were filled with youthful energy.
It was completely different from the students, supervisors, parents, and colleagues he had encountered in his previous life.
Perhaps it was because of the exhausting work he endured before his death that he was given this chance to be reborn in Kivotos.
Whether this was fate or just coincidence, it didn't really matter to Sensei.
What mattered was that, in this moment, he truly felt the warmth of these students.
After chatting for a while, the girls left one by one to take care of their own affairs, until only Rin remained.
"Well then, Sensei." Rin gestured for him to follow. "Let me show you around this building."
First, she led him down to the basement level.
The underground space looked exactly like the setting from the game—floating stone platforms, office desks, and holographic screens.
Apart from the emergency lights, none of the other lights were operational.
Rin walked over to a desk and picked up a tablet and a credit card.
"Sensei, this is the Shittim Chest and the Credit Card." She handed the two items to him. "These were left for you by the General Student Council President. None of us have been able to activate them—only you can."
"Alright."
The Shittim Chest looked like an ordinary white-bordered tablet, with nothing particularly special about it.
Sensei pressed the power button.
As the Shittim Chest booted up, a line of text appeared on the screen:
"Please enter the system password."
At that moment, a voice echoed in Sensei's mind:
"We thirst for the seven wailings. We bear the koan of Jericho."
For some reason, the words surfaced in his thoughts, and before he knew it, he spoke them aloud.
"Voice recognition in progress… Password accepted. Loading… Please complete biometric authentication and certificate generation."
A handprint authentication frame appeared on the screen.
"Please place your hand within the designated area."
Following the instructions, Sensei pressed his hand against the screen.
In an instant, he felt as if everything around him had become dazzlingly bright.
But just as quickly as it came, the sensation disappeared.
"Authentication successful. Welcome to the Shittim Chest, Sensei."
"Detected user permissions for the Sanctum Tower. Acquiring now." At that moment, an artificial voice spoke from the Shittim Chest. "Successfully obtained."
In an instant, the surrounding lights began to turn on.
"It seems like the power system is back to normal," Rin nodded slightly. "Sensei, please transfer the Sanctum Tower's user permissions to the General Student Council."
However, Sensei's expression became a bit strange.
Where's Arona?
That tiny, adorable, blue-haired little devil who loved eating sensei's pyroxene?
…Well, no time to dwell on that. First things first—handing over the Sanctum Tower's permissions.
"Shittim Chest, transfer the Sanctum Tower's user permissions to the General Student Council."
"Detected Sensei's voice command."
After a brief loading screen, a dialogue box popped up: "Do you agree to transfer the Sanctum Tower's user permissions to the General Student Council?"
Sensei tapped "Yes", and after a short progress bar, the screen displayed: "Transfer Complete."
At the same time, Rin received a phone call.
"Alright, I understand."
After hanging up, Rin turned to Sensei. "Sensei, the transfer has been confirmed. Now, even without the General Student Council President, the Council can still function normally in administrative affairs."
Then, Rin bowed deeply.
"Sensei, thank you for your hard work. On behalf of the General Student Council, I sincerely thank you for bringing order back to Kivotos."
"As for the Helmet Gang, the delinquents(sukeban), and the suspended students causing havoc outside—we will track them down and deal with them. Please rest assured."
"Got it." Sensei nodded with a smile.
After experimenting a bit, Sensei found that the Shittim Chest functioned much like a regular tablet. It had Momotalk, internet browsing, settings, and even voice and facial recognition features.
Additionally, after further investigation, Sensei discovered a special function—item storage.
Things like ammunition and food could be stored inside, though space was limited, roughly the size of a gym equipment storage room.
However, Sensei could clearly feel that the computing power of his Shittim Chest was inferior to the one with Arona.
He still didn't know why Arona was missing, but for now, with Terra Armaments, he could at least compensate for her absence to some extent.
Seeing that Sensei was getting accustomed to the Shittim Chest, Rin continued, "By the way, Sensei, let me show you the lounge and introduce you to Schale."
Under Rin's guidance, Sensei explored Schale's lounge, dormitories, café, and the convenience store on the first floor. She also explained the nature and responsibilities of Schale.
In short, Sensei had complete freedom to run things however he wanted.
Still, Rin had already prepared some documents in the lounge for Sensei to review at his convenience.
Unlike in the original game, where he would have simply listened, this time, Sensei actively asked Rin about information gathering and report procedures.
Rin answered everything thoroughly and even provided him with the contact details of Momoka and Ayumu, two of Schale's officers.
Sensei recorded everything in Momotalk, using the Shittim Chest's built-in app.
After finishing the tour, Rin and Sensei arrived at the building entrance.
"Um… Rin, before you go, I have something to ask."
"Hmm? What is it?"
"I need a vehicle for transportation, preferably an off-road car."
"Understood. I'll inform Momoka. You can contact her later, and she'll arrange for someone to deliver the car to you."
Rin then turned to leave.
"Well then, Sensei, see you later."
