"Is he dead?", a handsome man with Silver hair and eyes, he looked to be nearing his thirties, His cool charisma, gentle face and kind smile greatly contrasted with his words. He was currently in a well spaced room with a dark design and a fireplace light it up, he was on a single sitter staring at the fireplace, his back facing a group of at least a dozen men in black.
The men looked anxious and didn't dare answer the question, the gentle faced man sighed but didn't stray his gaze once. "It's a simple question, yes or no"
The leader of the group stepped forward a bit, "The thing is... He fell into the Worsh River... Jumped into it when he cornered him at a cliff just above it", the man said nervously.
" The body?", the gentle faced man asked again, "We rerouted at the base of the cliff by the river, we couldn't find him. He was poisoned with wolfsbane so I was sure he wouldn't have gotten far but we couldn't find him or a body... "
"So he's not dead?", the men shivered at the question, no one dared to speak. "This was the one chance I could kill the bastard and you lot ruined it", he said calmly. "The lunar pack have already done their part and their expecting his eyes, how could you let him get away?", as soon as he said this half of the men in black suddenly crumbles to the ground in finely cut pieces of flesh, the blood not having time to squirt or leak.
"Young master please spare us.... Uekk!", all the remaining men had their throats cleanly cut, all the bodies burnt immediately after and the scary part of it all was that the gentleman's face remained neutral with the same gentle expression.
This was the might of the sole man with the highest affinity with both Fire and wind, the current acting Alpha of the Blood moon pack...
"Keith", Ezra murmured to himself as he laid in a grass field, his eyes to the clear skies. He was silent for a while before smirking, "I'll be seeing you soon... Brother", he said this before getting off the grass and heading towards the a beautiful duplex that stood in a clearing in the middle of Silver forest.
He entered through the kitchen and sat comfortably at the island, leisurely picking up and apple and sinking his teeth into it. Harley who had been preparing something gave him a look, "You've been here for a week now, don't think I won't charge you for rent", she pointed a ladle at him.
" If it's just that, you don't need to worry. I'll pay you monthly.", she gave him a one over before she continued cooking. Once the food was done, he had set the table and they were already eating. She was surprised at how fast he adapted to doing chores and domestic housework, not long ago he couldn't hold a broom properly.
Anyways, she recently and officially took over a small company her parents had started long ago without the knowledge of her former pack. She didn't take over the workload though, that was her employees business. She wasn't worried about being cheated as she had very reliable staff there. All she did was sit around and receive her money, life was good.
On Ezra's side, he had more than enough money although he didn't look it. He just lazed around and enjoyed the Forest Villa making Harley's misunderstanding of him being a beggar worsen. Their relationship wasn't bad and they got along well... least of the time.
The two did practically nothing and just lazed around but all that didn't last long. One warm evening, Ezra rested in the house and Harley lounged outside on the deck. Suddenly both their eyes snapped open, their years of honed instinct warning them that instant that something wasn't right. They both turned their head in the same direction, their ears pricking up slightly. their thoughts almost linked.
Intruders!!
Harley leisurely stood up and planned to head inside, she was careful not to let the intruders know she had noticed them already. Just as she was reaching the door, a dark figure lunged at her to attack. Lucky for her, she managed to dodge the attack but just barely escaped in time resulting in ghastly claw marks on her forearm. She ignored the pain and got ready to block the next attack but before it could land a kick landed squarely on the attackers face causing him to fly back.
"Are you okay?", Ezra was by her side in seconds, he helped her up to her feet and tried to lead her inside but a very fast attack was sent his way, he gave up trying to retreat into thee house and had to focus on defending.
"Vampires?", Harley said as she stood behind Ezra. Why would they be attacking them? Didn't they know this was werewolf territory? It was against the rules.
"It seems like they're crazed, they thought we were humans and attacked us. It seems like they've been starved for a while", Ezra said as he punched a vampire in the jaw. The two were currently surrounded by more than a dozen vampires. "I'm sure your wounds should have healed enough by now. I need some help you know"
Harley knew he was right but she couldn't really fight and her Aura affinity wasn't a long ranged one and needed to actual make contact with the target, "I can't really help you", she said as managed to dodge an attack. "And why not?!", he sounded a bit irritated as he kicked another vampire. The vampires received the punched and got up like it was nothing. This is why crazed vampires were the worst to deal with.
"... I'm pregnant", her words immediately caught him off-guard, he received a punch squarely to the jaw, the impact sending him flying. Harley wasn't expecting this and was about to go help him but she was blocking by an incoming attack. Just as she prepared the block it, the assailant's head received an axe kick and crashed into the ground. His jaw completely destroyed and his skull caved in, he was dead.
"No one is fucking touching her", Ezra who delivered the kick, stood protectively before Harley, she felt her heart skip a beat. This was the first time he seemed so... reliable. "Are you okay?", she could see the wound on his head looked pretty serious. He ignored what she said and glared at her, "Why didn't you tell me?", he felt a bit betrayed for some reason.
"Are you really asking me that now?! We're kind of in the middle of something...", she said as she pulled his shirt forward, avoiding an attack. He clicked his tongue and kicked a vampire in the head, "We'll talk about this later", he said before whispering a silent chant, his former features returning as mist surrounded him. This was called the goddess's blessing. It enabled werewolves to transform with their clothes ripping off and the first attack launched while or after they transformed would be nullified.
He flipped into the air and landed back to the ground, fully transformed into a large grey wolf, he stood before Harley and growled at the crazed vampires.
