Chapter 1 - The Beginning

I've only had one question my entire life what's so bad about being different? This question has haunted me since I realized that just existing was a crime in the eyes of others.

Now,standing in a dimly lit room with alpha staring at me, I found myself in a twisted cycle of truth. The alpha's voice echo through the silence, demanding my final statement. With a deep breath, I posed the question I has plagued me for so long: What's bad about being different?

As Alpha Evans eyes locked onto to mine, a Shiver ran down my spine. The air was thick with tension, and I could feel the weight of his gaze upon me. The alpha's voice was low and menacing, but I stood my ground, my heart pounding in my chest.

Interesting question he said his words dripping with sarcasm," one that has been debated among our kind for centuries. But I know, but I suppose it is fitting that you will ask now given your circumstances."

He took a step closer his eyes glinting in the dim light you see in our world being different is a luxury few can afford, and those who are different often… Eliminated

I swallowed hard, but refused to back down. "

"And what was the purpose of this trial" I asked my voice study.

The Alpha smile was cold and calculating. "This trail is a formality really. A chance for you to prove your worth to the pack, but I think it is clear that you are not like the others .

You're…flawed".

Just as the alpha was about to speak, his assistant appeared at his side, Bowing low.

"Alpha, forgive the interruption, but the alpha's and their luna from the other packs have arrived. They are awaiting your presence to begin the festival preparations."

The alpha's eyes narrowed, and for a moment I thought he would dismiss his assistant. But then,he nodded curtly."Very well.I'll be right there."

He turned to me, his expression unreadable."This conversation isn't over. We'll continue it later."

I nodded,trying to hide my relief."of course,Alpha. I appreciate your time."

The alpha's gaze lingered on me for a moment before he turned to leave. As he walked away, his assistant fell into step beside him, whispering something on his ear. I watched them go, feeling a sense of reprieve.

The assistant's interruption had given me a brief respite, but I knew the alpha's patience was wearing thin.I would have to be careful if I wanted to survive this trail.

As I stood there, trying to gather my thoughts, I couldn't help but wonder what the festival was about. The alpha has mentioned it briefly earlier, but I hadn't had a chance to ask him more about it.

The assistant returned, bowing low." The alpha requests that you remain here for the time being. He'll summon you when he is ready to continue the conversation."

I nodded, feeling a sense of unease.what did the alpha plan for me?And what was this festival that is so important that my life is at stake?
