Alice Draken chased after the fleeing Fighting Demon, but eventually, she had to stop.
Somehow, his trail had completely disappeared.
She had no idea what method he had used. His presence had simply vanished, almost as if he had teleported without using any magical power.
"Tsk. I lost him."
The giant devil's hand didn't seem particularly dangerous as long as no one provoked it, so Alice had initially thought she could simply leave it alone and focus on capturing the giant man.
She hadn't expected to lose him, especially when he was already injured.
"Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I saw him on the S-rank villain list."
Alice sighed.
Once again, she was reminded of the limitations of her weakened body.
But there was no point dwelling on what she didn't have.
She couldn't suddenly regain her old strength just because she wanted it.
—Take his hand.
The voice of the man wearing the Demon mask suddenly resurfaced in her mind.
