Chapter 307: Coordinates Part II
The five of them leaped down, entering the core of the God Realm.
The tunnel didn't seem long, but Ye Wen immediately noticed it was a folded passage infused with spatial laws. If not for the power of the God King of Destruction activating it, this tunnel might have stretched far longer than it appeared.
"The Dragon God's legacy truly isn't simple, but the God King of Destruction doesn't seem like an ordinary figure either. For him to hold the key to such a crucial access point… did the former Dragon God truly trust him so completely?"
As soon as they reached the ground, Ye Wen and the others arrived at the heart of the God Realm, stunning him with the scene before his eyes.
The God Realm's core contained no other objects, only an enormous formation at its center, atop which lay a round crystal shimmering in nine colors. Surrounding the crystal was a vast star map.
Ye Wen studied it closely and found that the brightest stars represented life planets under the jurisdiction of the God Realm. His deep knowledge of astronomy even allowed him to locate Douluo Star's coordinates.
As Ye Wen discreetly examined his surroundings, the God King of Destruction spoke.
"Take a good look, everyone. Especially you, Hanhai. The hope for restoring the former glory of the God Realm rests on your shoulders."
Ye Wen thought, You've really placed high hopes on me, though outwardly, he remained unbothered.
"I'll do my best. Before seeing such a masterful use of divine power, I might have felt confident, but now... it's hard to say."
With that, he began directly investigating the God Realm's core.
The God King of Destruction observed Ye Wen's enthusiasm without suspicion, assuming Ye Wen's scholarly curiosity was simply piqued. Nearby, the God Kings of Good and Evil also wandered around with interest. Although they ascended to godhood before Ye Wen, they were still considered "new blood" among the divine ranks and had only ever heard the old, lackadaisical God Kings mention this place.
Seeing little else of interest beyond the core, the Good and Evil God Kings left first, never much interested in expanding the God Realm. They'd rather use the time to strengthen their powers.
The God King of Destruction waited while Ye Wen continued his studies. After about a day, he finally grew impatient and asked, "How's it coming, Hanhai?"
Ye Wen snapped out of his focused state, casting an almost regretful glance at the God King of Destruction, then shrugged.
"Big Brother Destruction, you're in too much of a hurry. This God Realm core is far more complex than I'd anticipated. I've only managed to decode a small portion of the divine circuitry."
Recognizing his own impatience, the God King of Destruction sighed, "Fine, such things can't be rushed. I'll record your divine signature for you, and from now on, you can study it at your own pace."
Ye Wen watched as the God King of Destruction recorded his information into this dimension, granting him access as an authorized user.
The God King of Destruction worked swiftly; by the time Ye Wen refocused, he was already gone. Ye Wen could only marvel inwardly. All that trouble I went through before to gain this, and now you're handing it over just like that?
For a moment, Ye Wen was speechless. His situation was like a mouse that had wandered into a grain warehouse. But soon, he broke into a satisfied smile. This was good it saved him the trouble. Someday, when the God King of Destruction realized the grave error he'd made, he'd have Ye Wen to thank for teaching him why one should always keep a guard up.
As the de facto ruler of the God Realm, the God King of Destruction was far too naive.
Ye Wen couldn't help but admire the Dragon God as he studied, thinking, The Dragon God was a remarkable genius, utterly unlike the brutish nature typical of other dragons. This small God Realm core alone encompasses a vast array of divine applications, accelerating my growth immensely.
Eventually, Ye Wen reflected on it further. How did such a genius of a Dragon God end up bringing about his own downfall? Impossible to understand.
During his research, the God King of Destruction checked in several times, observing Ye Wen's diligent work without comment. Time passed quickly in the God Realm, and before long, half a year had gone by.
Ye Wen had now perfectly replicated the divine circuits of the God Realm's core, although some parts remained a mystery to him. But time was running short.
Meanwhile, on Douluo Star
A group of god level warriors stood ready, each adorned in their distinctive Five Word Divine Armor.
Looking over the elite squad, Ye Wen felt satisfaction, mixed with a pang of sorrow. He knew that this divine battle would inevitably demand sacrifices.
But with no choice left, the bowstring was already pulled back, and the fate of three against one was set. He arranged his team in their designated positions and began forming seals with his hands.
Upon entering the God Realm, Ye Wen had discreetly placed an almost undetectable spatial marker in each god's palace. Now, it was time for those seeds to bear fruit.
"Divine Art: Spatial Transmission!!!"
One by one, beams of light from a magical array appeared beneath the feet of each god level warrior.
"May fortune be with you all," Ye Wen's divine incarnation intoned solemnly. Then, he transformed into a streak of light and sent a message to his physical self in the God Realm.
Upon receiving it, Ye Wen immediately unleashed immense divine power at a vulnerable point within the God Realm core.
A shattering force rippled throughout the God Realm, filling every god with an ominous unease.
"What's going on? What is this tremor?"
"Something feels terribly wrong."
"Hm?! Is there an issue with the God Realm core?!"
At that moment, Ye Wen returned to his own palace, swiftly collecting the four surrounding temples. Though they weren't of much intrinsic value, they'd become like a second home to him and his family over the years and couldn't be left behind.
Meanwhile, a terrifying surge of divine energy erupted from the God Realm's core, accompanied by an enraged voice that echoed across the realm.
"Hanhai!!!"
Ye Wen had known he'd be exposed the moment he acted. Every god's divine power had a unique signature, and the distinct nature of his Hanhai energy made it obvious. The God King of Destruction would recognize him immediately.
In the blink of an eye, the God King of Destruction appeared before Ye Wen, emanating an overwhelming divine aura. His eyes blazed with fury, and he held his ultra divine weapon, the Destruction Scepter, glaring at Ye Wen.
"Hanhai, I'll give you one chance to explain. If your answer doesn't satisfy me, I won't be able to contain my urge to kill you."
Ye Wen looked at the God King of Destruction impassively and donned his Hanhai God Armor.
"There's nothing to say. I've long despised this parasitic God Realm, so today, I'll be the one to destroy it."
