Chapter 3 - Exile

Late at night, Ling was sleeping until he heard something weird. A bunch of footsteps were outside of their house. Sitting up, Ling listened carefully until he smelled something weird. "Is this?" asked Ling before he collapsed unconscious.

"HELP! BROTHER!" This was the last thing Ling heard as he fell unconscious. Two hours go by as Ling finally woke up in a panic.

Rushing towards Rouge's room, Ling's color fell from his face, the room was trashed and the most important thing was that Rouge wasn't in it.

Looking around frantically, he saw the footsteps that came from the window. He always told Rouge to stop letting the window open for her safety but she ignored it because she likes the breeze.

His heart felt like it was being squeezed by the grim reaper, "Rouge!" yelled Ling as he began following the footsteps that left the house. Adjusting his eyes to see in the dark, he followed the footsteps of a house.

His Uncle's house...

He heard screaming and laughing, kicking down the door, he saw the most horrifying thing in the world...

Rouge was pinned down by two men and the Uncle was taking off his clothes, but before anything happened, they all turned their heads to the door. Seeing Ling, they all paled in fright.

"I thought, the gas was supposed to knock out an elephant!" yelled one of the men who began trembling.

The uncle looked at Ling and was like a deer in the headlights, "How...did you wake up so quick? You were supposed to be out for two days!"

Ignoring the people in front of him, Ling only saw Rouge, who had injuries as she fought for two hours by herself. Her nails were gone, pulled out by holding onto the ground, her hair messy, her face filled with slap marks.

Rouge was unconscious, as Ling's head began to spin. Remembering the face of his sister, the lovely cute sister who he would never let anyone lay a hand on, but at this moment, she was hurting and he wasn't there to protect her...

Tears began falling from his eyes, "I am sorry old man, I am sorry for not protecting her, and I am sorry. I am gonna break one of your promises, I am truly sorry..."

Walking slowly towards his uncle, Ling looked at him as if he was a dead man. His uncle backed up and fell behind the two men who at this moment were scared but held knives out pointing towards Ling.

"I will pay you more if you kill him!" yelled the Uncle as he put back on his clothes.

The two men looked at each other and charged towards Ling, before they knew it, they felt a weakness in their chest.

Looking down, there was a hole where their hearts were supposed to be.

Glancing at Ling, they saw that he was holding two things in front of him that were beating slowly. "You..." said the two men as they collapsed in fear and despair.

Their bodies grew cold by the minute. Letting out a shill scream, the uncle backed up against the wall, "Ling, I will pay you a lot of money, just let me go!"

Chuckling, Ling replied coldly, "Money? Okay, give me as much money as your life is worth."

Ling's uncle was confused, but realizing that Ling didn't stop moving towards him, he shrieked, "Please! I am the mayor of this village! If you kill me, they won't let you go!"

Standing in front of his uncle, Ling saw that he pissed himself, "For my sister, I am willing to embrace hell..."

Clenching his fist, he was about to kill his uncle until he heard coughing. Turning his head, he saw that Rogue was awake and coughing, rushing towards her, he pulled out his pouch of water and helped her drink it slowly, "Brother...Please, don't kill anymore, I don't like it when you are like that."

Looking at the two still beating hearts on the ground, Ling covered Rouge's eyes, "He tried to..."

"I know, but, please, if you kill him, you will be exiled, I don't want that."

The uncle gulped and smiled slightly, "Haha! Listen to your sister, and let me go."

Ling's mood was soured as he heard his uncle's words, "Do you think he will let us go if we reveal this?"

Rouge coughed and thought about it, "I...okay...I trust you, brother."

Smiling, Ling rubbed Rouge's head and said, "Just sleep for now, I will take care of everything."

Knowing she was safe, Rouge fell asleep as Ling got up and looked at his uncle who began shivering once more as he knew he wasn't gonna be able to escape. Pulling out a pistol, the uncle laughed and shot at Ling.

*Bang*

"DIE!" Watching as the bullet hit Ling's skin and bounced off, he was confused and bamboozled. "You...are a demon!"

Gripping the uncle by the throat, Ling looked into his eyes deeply, "That is the perfect name for me, thank you, uncle." Throwing him towards the wall, it cracked as the uncle coughed out blood. "Don't die too quick, I am not done with you."

The villagers heard screams when they woke up and rushed towards the mayor's house to see Ling covered in blood as Rouge was nowhere to be seen. Waving at everyone, Ling smiled like a demon.

2 days went by...

At a port, "Brother, thank you..."

Ruffling Rouge's head, Ling smiled happily, "No problem, Little Rouge."

Smacking his hand away, Rouge's hands and body were healed by Ling. One thing Ling learned was that he can also control others to a certain extent, by boosting their cellular regeneration.

"I will miss you a lot, you better keep writing letters or I will forget you and never invite you to my wedding!" said Rouge as she was full-on bawling.

Hugging her, Ling wiped his tears as he pushed Rouge onto the port, "My brother-in-law better be stronger than me, or I won't accept him, haha!"

Chuckling, Rouge couldn't retort and just hugged Ling.

A bounty flew down from the sky, catching it, Ling was annoyed to see it was his bloody smile in his Uncle's home. "I guess, I am wanted after all, haha!"

Not getting the joke, Rouge reluctantly let go and watched as Ling set sail. Waving goodbye, she yelled, "You better not die!"

"You better not marry a fool!"

Throwing a stone at Ling that missed, he chuckled and rowed away as he didn't see Rouge's eyes that kept producing tears...
