Chapter 40 - Bosa Goes Home

Once he had finished setting the mood. "Bosa, step forward." He waited until Bosa was front and center. "Good, now relax, and answer my question: What drove you to train as a kai?"

"Huh? King Kai started training me soon after I…" Bosa rubbed his belly, feeling sick. "Died, going to the otherworld."

"I see, so it wasn't as if you desired it then. Interesting. Now: What led you to develop a power such as self-resurrection?"

Bosa was terribly nervous, he didn't want to die again. All he wanted to do was to see his family again. "The same thing that's getting me through this… I wanted to go home! Hug my mommy, and mama Chichi, and papa!"

Heles raised a concern. "If I may, I don't see how this is even possible. Such a desire shouldn't be enough to cause such a change. What was the real reason?"

Iwan objected to Heles. "Hold on now, the reason is pure. That's not what this is about. What we should really be asking this genius boy, is how he managed to pull it off in the first place. Such an ability would definitely add a layer of safety to our existence."

"Enough, I've already seen this boy's life, and his heart's desires. He is not malicious. So let's move on-"

"I'm bored! Can we make this go faster? Just make it formal or whatever."

And so, with the Omni-King's declaration, it brought the proceedings to a grinding halt. However, this wasn't the end of it for Bosa. As the three Supreme Kais teleported closer to get a gauge on Bosa. And for what amounted to a few hours of questions, Bosa finally tired out.

"Hey, is this that tired feeling again? I haven't felt it in months. So that's what it feels like?" He fell asleep on Supreme Kai's back.

"Well, it seems like that's all he can do for now. If you want to ask more questions, I'll request you submit formal queries. For now though, we'll be taking our leave."

And that was when Whis, Supreme Kai, and a sleeping Bosa walked out of the palace and then teleported to King Kai's world.

Heles, Iwan, and Champa, the three of them were now thinking of all the benefits of such an ability. Even going as far as to have their Angel attendants keep replaying how Bosa pulled it off. Their Kai's all watched in complete bewilderment. The Angels just had their own chuckles, seeing how it happened.

Vados, made a comment, one that had a heavy hidden meaning. "This young boy, while he may have had the idea prior to seeing it, he was able to recreate the effect while using a much lower power. It's certainly interesting."

Gine ran over, picking Bosa off of the Supreme Kai. "What happened to him!?"

"There's no need to worry, Bosa was just a little tired from meeting so many new people. He's also been used to a body that didn't require sleep. So it's only natural for him to be exhausted."

"Yes, and now that he's been recognized, there won't be an issue if he needs to use his Kai abilities. With that, I'll be heading home now. I can't be gone too long now, take care of that young boy."

Whis disappeared in a pillar of light. A few moments passed and the light disappeared. While Bosa was sleeping, it was decided that he and his grandparents would leave first thing in the morning. Gine was anxiously excited to see her baby boy again, even if he had grown up. Bardock was curious about his son's development as well, thinking how nice it would be to fight him. Bosa, he just slept, cuddled up by his grandma.

The morning came, and thus so did the time for their goodbyes. "Don't forget to keep training, Bosa. Make sure you stop by once in a while. I still have to show you how to create a planet in person."

Bosa bowed, thanking his master. "Thank you for everything, Master. I won't forget all you did! Next time, I'll be stronger and help you out with the kai's work!"

"Thank you for everything, King Kai. I was able to reunite with my family thanks to you."

"And, now I have the chance to put that bastard Freeza down for good."

"Hmm, don't go rushing headlong into that fight. You're definitely powerful right now. But I doubt you're a true match for Freeza's full power. Be careful, or you'll end up back here again." He snickered. "Well then, go on and get going. If you leave now, you'll make it in time for-"

Bosa's face lit up, remembering what was going on back at home. "FAMILY BREAKFAST!" His eagerness showed through, and he began locking onto… "Huh, I can't sense them?"

"Try going to the check-in-station first. That places links to all of the guardian's lookouts. You'll have an easy time finding Kami like that- Oh, they're gone… Huh, well, that's done, time for some peace and quite…" King Kai rested for a while, then… "Dang it! He was supposed to help me with that extra load of planet creation requests! Eh, it's fine, he's still a kid, let him be one for now. But he's going to pay me back for this."

The day started just the same as every day before, the sun began peeking over the horizon, shimmering on the water's surface, and granting a dim light as if to rouse the populace.

Goku was already up, but his arms felt a little heavier than normal. He looked to his sides, and smiled. For some reason, I get the feeling that today is going to be a really good day. He quickly, but gently got up from bed to look out the window. He smiled. "It's a new day, one day closer to getting Bosa back. I wonder how he's been lately, the others miss him terribly- Huh? It can't be?"

Goku put on his gi and left the room, making sure not to wake Bulma or Chichi. He walked down the hall, feeling a few different presences that just suddenly appeared. And when he rounded the corner to the main room, which doubled as a living and dining room, his eyes laid upon a sight that brought him to tears.

"PAPA! I'm home papa!"
