When Rohan arrived at his castle that night, the first thing he did was to enquire about his wife, and when he was told she had gone to sleep, he gave a thoughtful look and then nodded his head, deciding to allow her sleep. He would go to her in the morning when she most likely would be feeling much better about everything that had happened. As much as he would have liked to console her, he had no words for it and knew he might end up making her feel much worse for her trust issues rather than better.
He wasn't the right company to her tonight, Rohan thought, as he handed the heart of the witch to Rav, who was regarding him with a question at the sight of the blood on his face and the state of his attire.
"I died and came back to life," was all he said to Rav, and Rav made an oh sound and then took the heart and walked to go and put it away. It wasn't the first time of something like this happening. He had become used to that phrase of dying and coming back to life.
