"Lieutenant will find buildings perfect for ambushing patrols. That's his job right now. The rest continues finding people." I say
The leader looks at me. confused "Ambushing patrols? That's a risky plan. Are you sure that's the best idea?"
"We aren't moving in yet. Just be prepared." I say
He nods "Alright. But we should still be careful. We don't want to alert the enemy to our presence."
He looks at you for a moment before finally speaking "I'm trusting you on this. I hope you know what you're doing."
"It's all in lieutenants hands." I say
"Now smith, get back to business." I say
He nods "Right. So, what's the next step?"
"Soldiers. How many we got?" I say
He looks around "There are about 30 of us. But not all of them are here right now."
"Show me where allie camps are." I say
He pulls out a map and points to a few locations "These are the main camps. We don't know exactly how many soldiers are there but we know that they're well-armed and well-organized."
"How many camps are there?" I ask
He thinks "There are five main camps. Each one has about 100 soldiers in it."
"Ok. Let's get them. Rescue more soldiers. You come with me." I say
He nods "Alright, I'll follow you. Just tell me what you have in mind."
we drive to a camp and stop at the barricades
"yo, let us in! I got a leader here." I yell
The soldiers at the gate look surprised to see me. They hesitate for a moment before opening the gate. The leader follows you in.
"Soldier. Get me your leader right now." I say
One of the soldiers runs off to get the leader. A few minutes later, the leader comes out of a tent. He looks at me with a stern expression.
"Pack up your men and stuff were moving." I say
He raises an eyebrow "Moving? Where are we going?"
"A safehouse. A perfect base. It's out of enemy terf and no one sees it." i reply
He seems skeptical "You're sure it's safe? We can't afford to take any risks."
"Major has his whole squad there already set up and looking for civilians." I say
He nods "Alright, if you say it's safe then I trust you. But if anything goes wrong, it's on you."
"How many civilians do you have here?" I ask
He looks around for a moment before answering "There are about 20 civilians here. They're mostly refugees who have nowhere else to go."
"And how many solders?" I ask
He hesitates for a moment "We have about 70 soldiers here."
"And how many injured?" I ask
He looks down "We have 12 injured soldiers. Most of them are in bad condition."
"So a lot dead." I say
He nods "Unfortunately, yes. It's been a difficult battle."
"Did enemies find you?" I ask
He looks around "We've had a few encounters with the enemy. But we've managed to keep them away for the most part. They haven't discovered our location yet."
"That gives us time to move." I say
He nods "That's true. But what about the injured soldiers? We can't just leave them behind."
"Put them in vehicles. The rest can walk." I say
He seems hesitant "Are you sure that's a good idea? We don't want to slow down the rest of the soldiers."
"We'll leave a small team behind to get them to where we need to go." I say
He nods "That could work. But who would be in charge of that team?"
"Me. Smith, get these guys to the base. I'll catch up." I say
He looks surprised "You're going to stay behind? Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"Nothing can hurt me. And if it does. Smith is the leader." I say
He looks at you, concerned "You're not invincible. What if something happens to you?"
"bloody hell. Just go!" I yell
He sighs "Alright. Just be careful, okay? And don't take any unnecessary risks."
"Get packing, let's go!" I yell
He nods and starts to get everyone organized. The soldiers all start to load the vehicles with the injured soldiers and other supplies. we eventually all make it back
The major looks around, relieved to see everyone back safely. He walks over to me "You did it. We're all safe now."
"Lieutenant." I say
"Yes?"
"Get these new guys settled in." I say
He nods "Of course. I'll make sure they have everything they need."
"Smith, let's go back out." I say
He looks surprised "You want to go back out there?"
"Let's go!" I shout
He sighs "Fine. But I hope you know what you're doing. I'm trusting you on this."
we drive to another camp
He stays silent for a moment, watching the scenery pass by. The camp comes into view and he looks at you, curious.
"Something's not right." I say
He raises an eyebrow "What do you mean? What's wrong?"
"...too much nothingness.... the camp is destroyed but people still are there." I say
He looks at the camp, noticing the destruction. He seems worried "You're right. This doesn't make sense. Why would the camp be destroyed but the people still be here?"
"Must've been a attack." I say
He nods "But if that's the case, then where are the enemies? We should be seeing them by now."
"Probably dead." I say
We walk up to a soldier
"Get me your leader." I say
The soldier looks at you with a surprised expression but nods and goes to find the leader. A few minutes later, the leader comes out of a tent. He looks at me, his expression serious.
"Quickly. Gather everything and come with me. I can tell you're compromised." I say
He seems confused "Compromised? What do you mean?"
"Base was attacked? They'll be back. Now let's get moving." I say
He nods "You're right. We need to leave as soon as possible."
They all get packing quickly and we go to the hotel
He sighs in relief "We made it back safely. But I have a feeling that the enemy will be back soon."
"How many soldiers do you have?" I ask
He thinks "We have about 150 soldiers in total."
"How many injured?" I ask
He looks down "About 30. We've been taking care of them the best we can but they're still in bad condition."
"Ok. Next base. It'll be dangerous but we got it." I say
He nods "Okay. But are you sure this is a good idea? We're already stretched pretty thin."
"Let's go, major." I say
He sighs "Fine. But if anything goes wrong, it's your fault."
"They are close to enemies. If we wait any longer they'll die. If they haven't already" i say
He nods "You're right. Let's get going then."
we drive to the camp
The leader stays quiet as we drive, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger.
"Soldier let me in." I say as we arrive at a gate
One of the soldiers opens the gate and we drive inside. It's quiet, too quiet. We can't see any soldiers anywhere.
"Get me your leader." I say
The soldier looks worried and nods, running off to find the major. After a few minutes, the leader comes out of a tent.
"You're close to getting compromised. Enemies are closing in on this location. We have to move, let's go." I say
He looks at me, surprised "You're sure about that? How do you know?"
"How many soldiers do you have?" I ask
He thinks for a moment "About 100. Why?"
"How many injured?" I ask
He looks down "About 20. They're in bad condition."
"How many civils?" I ask
He thinks for a moment "About 50. They're all refugees who have nowhere else to go."
"Ok let's go." I say
He nods "Right. We should get everyone ready to move."
"Go go go we don't have time." I say
He yells to the other soldiers "Everyone, get ready to move out! We're leaving now!"
