Yuan Ting rubbed his eyes and focused, "Level 70…this isn't something I can deal with, I have two options now…"
He pulled out fire laws from his Spirit Stone Soul a d sat down. He covered himself in the fire and hoped his crude impression would work, he had a wide variety but little deep comprehension; it may not work against level 70.
'Fire burns, not only the physical but the metaphysical. If a book burns, the information is burnt. Similarly my presence shall be burnt.' he used an impression on fire laws to change the expression those laws would have.
He sat down and carefully tried to mKe up his mind, "The flare should have went off by now, the string is still active…any support should be able to find me. But no matter how many level 30s come, it won't be any help."
He continued lampooning, "I either wait for reinforcements, hoping them to be strong, or try to go back the way I came and tell the others that it's a battle we can't interfere with."
Yuan Ting felt uncomfortable, he was just a damsel in distress. He came here to fight Yi Sect, he came here to be a warrior, to protect others.
He stood up.
Peering over the edge of the mud walls, Yuan Ting observed the oppressive darkness. Much like inside the tunnel, it was such a powerful darkness that no amount of light could pierce it.
It was even worse now that he had presumably gotten closer to the fighting, he could barely see a foot in front of himself. Luckily he had a sharp mind and a mental construction of how he fell, he should able to make his way back.
When he had just entered, he was hit by a massive wooden stave, clearly the fighters were still here and still actively moving…"Why haven't I heard a single thing from them again?"
Yuan Ting climbed his way up from the canyon, carefully measuring his movement so he doesn't lose his mental map of where he is.
He walked across the dirt floor, feeling nothing but a cold chill running down his neck,

Hamar's mental construct that was following Yuan Ting could not think. It wasn't a split consciousness, it was a piece of mental energy wrapping around a portion of causality.
Thanks to this, it had a very simple (comparatively) instruction set. It's purpose was to Help Yuan Ting to look around the tunnel and bring back any information if useful.
Due to that instruction, it had temporarily caused a new rule to form temporarily within the Reversal Field here. It did not know it was a Reversal Field, that the entire location was under the effect of the Reversal Formation of Yi Sect, but it acted on simple instructions and had a limited amount of mental energy to think about it.
What it did understand was that Yuan Ting was being pressured by an outside force and if it sustained, he would burst like a balloon; stopping any information gathering objectives.
To combat this, it used it's one ability. Causality. The normal causality would stage that Yuan Ting could not move because he was suppressed by the formation.
Using his causality, however, he could twist that 'rule'. He made it so the causality was that the formation allowed Yuan Ting to move as long as he gives it laws.
If he did it without the clause on giving the formation laws, the causality would be expended endlessly each second Yuan Ting lived. But because of the sacrifice, he created a real 'cause' for his movement allowing it to form a temporary rule in the world with a small amount of causality.

As he walked, he continued to see and feel nothing until–
He raised his arm. The cloth floated, it was as if his sleeve was compelled to move forward and up. He tried to look in the direction it was pointing but the overwhelming darkness wouldn't relent.
He looked into his Spirit Stone Soul and despite using many laws without cause earlier, though somehow freeing himself, he had his light laws still.
Throwing out those light laws into the darkness, he expected them to fizzle instantly and he was right except…he only had a small amount left but he tried again. Just a small spark, again, again, again…
He looked around, the laws were not simply overwhelmed. Light was not attacked by darkness, no, he saw something else.
"Light turns int–" as he started to form a conclusion, he felt something behind him. He looked to his legs, where he had 'tied' the strong laws.
They swung vigorously, he was being contacted. He gritted his teeth, if his laws were stronger he could use the string to pass on his voice but even moving it this much was going to break i– …'soon', he thought just as it snapped.
He looked back at his experimenting, "…" he swore to remember it within his head then he traced his steps back.
Quickly running forward and consulting his mental construction of where he was, he made his made to a wall of the massive cave he was in. He needed to jump or climb back into be small tunnel he fell out off.
'Luckily it's safe now that theres no stones being thrown out, I do wonder where they went.' he put aside this thought and pulled dout his sword.
It would be safer and faster to climb, he tried sending sword laws into his blade and stabbing it into the hard rock walls.
The sword pierced the rock and Yuan Ting threw himself up, using the sword as an anchor, then pulling it back up with him as he flew up the wall. He continued this sequence a few times, reaching the tunnel entrance.
"Phew…I'm here in time" instantly, he could see further. The darkness seemed less intense. As he narrowed his eyes though, he saw a bright light coming from the other side, "How can they…the darkness laws?!"

"Over there! I see a figure, it could be the one who sent a flare out, everyone be careful but not intimidating." the main woman holding a lantern which was letting out huge amounts of light laws.
