=============

Vought Corporation's headquarters in Manhattan.

As the company managing superheroes, including the Super Seven, Vought Corporation is the undisputed corporate giant of the black robe world.

While other companies expand into various fields for money or power, Vought has created a group of superhumans with abilities far beyond ordinary humans through biochemical technology.

They spent a fortune on public relations, promoting superheroes as God's favorites, born naturally. But in reality, it all comes down to Compound V, which they created.

Vought concealed the truth about Compound V and profited immensely from their superheroes.

Not only did they establish TheSeven, but they also managed many other superheroes stationed across states and cities as symbols of justice and propaganda.

Under Vought's operation, the crime rate in the United States dropped significantly. Many people placed blind trust in Vought's superheroes.

It could be said that if Vought wanted, they could use their superheroes to start a global war.

However, the company faced setbacks in its later development and was eventually overtaken by its own subordinates. But from today on, the company was destined to take a different path.

"Who are you? No outsiders are allowed in!"

As soon as Norin entered the building, he was stopped by the guards. But after looking at Norin, the guard's eyes glowed red, and he smiled respectfully. "It's you. Sorry, I didn't recognize you. Please, come in."

The guard quickly apologized and ushered Norin inside. This scene puzzled others, and they began guessing who Norin was. They were sure they had never seen him before.

Yet, he commanded such respect from the guards. Could he be a distinguished guest invited by the president?

Thinking this, those who witnessed the scene nodded at Norin with polite smiles. Whether it was true or not, it never hurt to be friendly.

In this way, Norin easily infiltrated Vought Corporation without raising suspicion.

He approached the front desk and asked for the location of the company president. Under the receptionist's admiring gaze, he took the elevator upstairs without looking back.

When Norin reached the top floor, he happened to run into Madelyn Stillwell, Vought's vice president, who was about to leave.

Madelyn's identity wasn't simple. She wasn't just the vice president of Vought—she was also Homelander's caretaker and, at times, his lover.

Homelander had no family since birth and lacked any sense of familial affection.

This was part of Vought's strategy to control him. Later, Madelyn entered Homelander's life. From the moment he could remember, she had been by his side, often nurturing him.

With her maternal demeanor and charming appearance, Homelander grew attached to her.

Homelander became exactly what Vought wanted him to be—a giant baby, lacking affection, love, and even suffering from a mother complex. He would never truly grow up. Madelyn was one of Vought's key tools to control him.

The plan worked well. Although Homelander was often disobedient and reckless, forcing Vought to clean up his messes, he listened to Madelyn.

Yet, this same superhuman, with all his flaws, was seen by the public as the ultimate symbol of justice.

It was insane. If mutants had this kind of public relations, why would they be surrounded by enemies?

"Who are you?" Madelyn asked, her guard up as soon as she saw Norin.

"I am your future boss," Norin stated calmly.

"Huh? I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Please leave immediately, or I'll call security," Madelyn threatened, pulling out her phone. "If I were you, I'd leave before I make this call. Otherwise, what awaits you isn't prison—it's death."

As a senior executive at Vought, Madelyn knew many secrets. If something big were happening, she would've been among the first to know. But she hadn't heard anything, which meant Norin was here to cause trouble.

"Are you calling Homelander? Go ahead," Norin said, as if giving her permission.

Madelyn hesitated. He knew she was planning to call Homelander, yet he stayed. Was he not afraid of death? Did he not understand what Homelander was capable of? Was he a fool, or was he fearless?

She didn't believe a normal person would think Homelander wouldn't kill. This was Vought's territory. Even if something happened, they could cover it up and silence any outside chatter.

But was this overly handsome man in front of her really a fool? If not, where did his confidence come from? Stan Edgar?

No. Edgar had no reason to hide, and it was impossible for him to transfer control of Vought.

She knew how powerful Edgar's control over Vought was. Even the superheroes were part of his calculations.

But... this man was so handsome. It would be a shame for someone like him to die. If Homelander saw him, he'd probably kill him out of jealousy.

Madelyn felt a pang of regret. She didn't know what was wrong with her. The situation was critical, yet she was thinking about such things. Was she losing her mind?

Wait! Now wasn't the time for this. Should she call Homelander or not? Should she let this man live or not?

As Madelyn struggled with her thoughts, Norin suddenly said, "Looks like there's no need to call."

Madelyn's face changed. She saw Homelander and Queen Maeve stepping out of the elevator together.

Why was he here?

"Why are you here!?" Homelander's voice was sharp, filled with suspicion.

"Maeve, is this your friend?" Homelander asked, his smile hiding his anger. Those who knew him understood that his smile often preceded violence.

Queen Maeve had no idea Norin was here. She had only seen him once, at the promotional event, and that was it. She quickly clarified, "I don't know him!"

"Really? Then why were you staring at him earlier?" Homelander's smile didn't waver, but his voice was cold, like a blade hidden in the wind.

"I really don't know him! I just glanced at him unintentionally, that's all!" Queen Maeve tensed, fearing Homelander might unleash his heat vision at any moment.

Homelander turned to look at Norin and Madelyn. "I need an explanation. What's going on here?"

Before Madelyn could speak, Norin asked, "What do you think a handsome man and a mature woman would do when they're alone together?"

Madelyn's heart sank. 'Oh no!'

Her face turned pale instantly, and her legs trembled with fear. 'This man is insane! Absolutely insane! How dare he say something like that? He's going to drag me down with him!'

Facing Homelander's furious gaze, Madelyn quickly denied it. "He's a lunatic! An intruder! I have reason to suspect he's a spy sent by another company. Catch him first!"

"There's no need to catch him," Homelander's voice was dark and cold. He was furious, especially after seeing Norin's ridiculously handsome face—far superior to his own—and the tone and expression Norin used when answering him. It made him seethe with anger.

"Wait! Don't be so harsh!" Madelyn blurted out, then immediately regretted it. 'What am I doing? I've lost my mind!'

Sure enough, Homelander's rage intensified. He wanted to demand answers from Madelyn. Had she really betrayed him? Had she given her care and affection to another man?

Homelander's cold, bloodthirsty eyes began to glow red. "No matter who you are, you're dead today! No one can save you—not even Jesus. I said it!"

Whoosh!

In his anger, Homelander unleashed his heat vision at full power, a blast strong enough to pierce through a building in an instant. It was clear he was holding nothing back, completely disregarding the consequences.

But that was exactly what Norin wanted. He intended to use the most powerful figure in The Boys world to test his own strength. Homelander was undoubtedly the perfect choice.

Then, to everyone's astonishment, Norin widened his eyes, and his own scorching gaze collided with Homelander's heat vision.

For a moment, the two forces were evenly matched!

"This is impossible!!!" Homelander roared, his voice filled with disbelief.
