Synopsis
"Now, the time has come for us to select the male and female tributes for the honor of representing Coruscant in the 30th Annual Hunger Games, the last Hunger Games in the Republic. As usual, ladies first." says Syna. Syna briskly walks over to the glass ball containing the women's names, and takes the first slip she encounters. I hope it's not Padme. She briskly walks back to the microphone, unfolds the slip, and reads the name out loud. "Padme Amidala." The same basic story but with a Star Wars twist: Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), and his wife, Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman), compete in the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death against other contestants from ten planets, in the Republic until two victors remain. The story is told in the perspective of the Chosen One (Anakin). Even Coruscant is represented in the Games. Disclaimer: I'm just borrowing characters, the storyline, and other elements of Star Wars and The Hunger Games. They are the property of Lucasfilm, Disney, and Suzanne Collins. All images are the property of their respective owners. Athan, Charlena, Alexander Silverman, Milo Borabrex, and Syna Ruana are the only property I own.

Chapter 1 - Part I: The Tributes

I wake up on my side of the bed. Padme, my beloved wife, sleeps soundly beside me. I get up and put on my tunic, utility belt, and robe. I leave the lightsaber, though. It's Reaping Day. I go to the living room. Padme comes into the living room. "You're up early." says Padme. "It's Reaping Day, remember?" I ask. "Are you worried about getting reaped, Ani?" asks Padme.

"Yes." I admit. "Aren't you?" I ask. "No. I doubt that I have to go the Games." Padme replies. "Who knows that you might have to go, Padme. The rules state that ten planetary systems, including Coruscant, of the Republic must send two tributes to Coruscant." I say. Padme tells Captain Typho, her head of security, to get her airspeeder from the Senate building. He obeys.
