Chapter 139: Azure Dragon Rending the Heavens Technique!
Crack, crack, crack...
In front of Mo Ya, the sound of glass shattering echoed. On the indestructible spatial barrier surrounding him, fine cracks began to slowly emerge.
Under Mo Ya's terrified gaze, the tiny cracks started to expand bit by bit.
Mo Ya's eyes widened, and an intense fear swept through his body in an instant.
This was a spatial defense barrier created by a four star Dou Zong, a barrier said to be unbreakable. Forget this mere two star Dou Ling, even Su Qian, a three star Dou Zong, might not be able to break it!
How is this possible!?
Crack, crack, crack!
But whether Mo Ya believed it or not, the cracks on the spatial barrier continued to widen.
Outside, Lu Bu's face covered in fine scales was partially obscured by the spreading cracks. Yet, Mo Ya could still sense the killing intent surging in those violet golden dragon eyes.
CRACK!
Panic began to creep onto Mo Ya's face. Without thinking, he crushed another protective jade talisman in his hand.
In an instant, a surge of silver light appeared, repairing the fractured spatial barrier in the blink of an eye. The barrier now radiated a dazzling brilliance that knocked Lu Bu back.
"Huh... Hahahaha!" Mo Ya first gasped in surprise, then burst into maniacal laughter. "You can't break this defense! Hahaha… You're all bark and no bite, Lu Bu! All style, no substance! Hahaha!"
It was as if he needed to vent all the fear he had felt in the moments prior. Mo Ya's laugh was loud and exaggerated, his once handsome face twisted into a hideous display as tears rolled down his cheeks from the laughter.
"My father has reinforced these jade talismans! Did you think they'd still only last a few breaths? Hahaha! No way! This spatial barrier can last an entire quarter of an hour! Give up, Lu Bu! Hahaha!"
"Hmph…" Lu Bu's cold sneer echoed. With a ripping sound, the fabric of his sleeves tore apart as his arms moved.
Purple light surged, and Lu Bu's arms instantly transformed into massive, muscular dragon limbs. The golden scales covering them gleamed with a faint purple hue, and his claws long and razor sharp looked deadlier than any forged weapon.
Mo Ya's laughter abruptly stopped, choking off like a crow being strangled. The arrogant, mocking expression froze on his face, making him look utterly ridiculous.
BAM!
Lu Bu's violet golden eyes flashed coldly as his dragon claws pressed against the spatial barrier.
"W what are you doing?" Mo Ya stammered, his face pale as cold sweat streamed down his back. For the first time, the indestructible spatial barrier failed to give him a sense of safety.
"Azure Dragon Rending the Heavens!"
Lu Bu's voice rumbled low like a dragon's growl. His claws tightened, and purple light erupted from his body.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The spatial barrier began to fracture rapidly. Unlike before, these weren't small cracks it was a massive fissure expanding with terrifying speed.
"No… No, no, no…"
In Mo Ya's eyes, filled with despair, Lu Bu roared and ripped the barrier apart with a sudden, explosive motion. The once impenetrable shield shattered, revealing a pale and trembling Mo Ya inside, utterly lost and helpless.
"Stop right there!"
A sharp cry echoed from behind. An old man with lightning covered wings Elder Li rushed forward at full speed.
"Hmph…" Lu Bu sneered and swung his dragon claw. A powerful strike landed on Mo Ya's abdomen.
BANG!
Mo Ya's body flew backward, vomiting a mouthful of blood. His face was ghastly pale, filled with hopelessness.
"You… You destroyed the young master's Dou Qi core?!" Elder Li roared, his eyes bloodshot with rage. To him, Lu Bu was no less than a mortal enemy now.
CRACKLE!
Lightning crackled as arcs of electricity danced around Elder Li's body. He moved like a thunderous hawk, traversing the forest at blinding speed.
So fast was Elder Li that even Lu Bu found it difficult to track his movements.
"Lightning Shadow Strike!"
Elder Li bellowed, his fingers charged with electricity like a blade aiming directly at Lu Bu's heart.
Azure Scaled Shield!
Lu Bu roared as golden scales manifested in front of him, forming a sturdy shield of overlapping plates. The image of an ancient dragon loomed faintly over the shield, shrouded in mist.
CLANG!
The lightning strike hit the shield with a deafening crash. Sparks flew as electricity arced through the forest, scorching trees and leaving blackened marks in its wake.
CRACK!
Cracks began to appear on the Azure Scaled Shield, much like the spatial barrier earlier.
"Break!"
Elder Li's roar echoed as his power surged. The lightning intensified, and the shield shattered into fragments.
"You're finished!" Elder Li's face twisted into a cruel grin as he drove his electrified fingers toward Lu Bu's heart.
SPLURT!
A dull, sickening sound echoed in the forest.
"Ah… Ah… H how could this be…"
Elder Li's triumphant smile froze. Looking down, he saw a massive dragon claw piercing through his chest. Blood dripped from his lips as he muttered incoherently.
"That's… a real arm… not Dou Qi…" Elder Li mumbled in disbelief as his hand reached for the dragon claw, brushing against its cold, hard scales.
SPLURT!
Lu Bu jerked his arm, pulling the claw free. Dark red blood gushed out as Elder Li's body slumped lifelessly to the ground.
The dragon claw shimmered with violet gold light before shrinking back into a human arm. The scales vanished, leaving behind nothing but torn sleeves.
As though nothing had happened, Lu Bu had killed a Dou Huang level expert in the blink of an eye. His gaze swept across the battlefield, locking onto the incapacitated Mo Ya.
"Now, it's time for us to settle things," Lu Bu said with a faint smile, looking down at Mo Ya like a predator eyeing its prey.
…
At the Quill Wolf Gang's base, Xiao Yan and Xiao Xun'er exchanged glances as they watched Lu Bu disappear into the forest.
"Should we go check it out?"
"Are you curious about Lu Bu's true identity?"
They spoke in unison, then paused, both smirking slightly. Clearly, their thoughts were in sync.
"Let's take care of the distractions first," Xiao Yan said with a chuckle. His gaze shifted toward Kui Sha, the gang's leader, who was still hovering in the air.
A chilling white light filled Xiao Yan's eyes as a surge of terrifying pressure emanated from him. The once rowdy spectators felt their legs give out, collapsing to their knees under the weight of the aura.
Even Lu Bu's puppet, engulfed in green flames, began slaughtering the remaining gang members. Against a Dou Huang level puppet, these lowly criminals stood no chance and were reduced to pieces in an instant.
"Stop this madness!" Kui Sha bellowed in fury.
Xiao Yan's figure blurred, and the Bone Chilling Flame erupted around him, engulfing Kui Sha in a wave of icy fire.
"Die." Xiao Yan's voice was cold and emotionless.
The next moment, Kui Sha's body turned to ashes, his scream silenced before it could escape his lips.
"Let's go find Lu Bu," Xiao Yan said as he picked up Xiao Xun'er. With a light step, he leapt into the forest.
