Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Xiao Yan, Your Kidney is Bleeding… You Alright?

Chapter 137: Xiao Yan, Your Kidney is Bleeding… You Alright?

Watching Mo Ya charge toward Lu Bu, Xiao Yan staggered slightly, almost losing his balance.

"Xiao Yan gege, are you okay?" Xiao Xun'er quickly caught him. The wound Xiao Yan had just treated reopened during his earlier burst of energy, blood now gushing out again. The sight made Xiao Xun'er's heart ache.

"I'm fine. It's just a bit of blood," Xiao Yan said with a strained smile as he fished out some medicinal ointment from his storage ring and applied it quickly to stop the bleeding.

Xiao Xun'er gently pulled Xiao Yan down to sit, letting him lean against her for comfort.

Nestled in her warm, soft embrace, Xiao Yan couldn't help but feel a little flustered. He instinctively shifted his position, only for…

"Hiss…" Xiao Yan winced in pain, his expression twisting. The freshly treated wound on his waist stung sharply.

"Serves you right for fidgeting!" Xiao Xun'er scolded lightly, her tone both concerned and teasing.

The onlookers were completely uninterested in their playful bickering. In their minds, the girl had already caught Mo Ya's eye. Once they dealt with the pretty boy, the wounded man leaning on her would naturally follow him to the grave.

Xiao Yan gave an awkward laugh, his mind beginning to race. Lu Bu has put me through so much today. There's no way I'm letting him off easy for this!

Elsewhere, Mo Ya issued his orders. His body surged with Dou Qi, and a massive purple black energy sphere formed in the sky above him. Its sharp, oppressive energy loomed over Lu Bu like a mountain, preparing to crush him.

On the ground, Lu Bu stared at the descending Mo Ya and the black clad elder, his expression suddenly shifting to one of panic. He stumbled backward, clutching his waist where a bright dagger was lodged.

Activating his full two star Dou Ling aura, Lu Bu fought to resist the overwhelming pressure of a Dou Wang and a Dou Huang coming at him from above.

"Boy, die for me!" Mo Ya sneered viciously, his claws slicing through the air as deadly purple black energy blades howled toward Lu Bu.

The black clad elder, however, held back, staying close behind Mo Ya in case he needed to intervene.

Lu Bu's face paled as cyan flames flared around him, forming a fiery shield. But the sharp wind blades tore through it, scattering the flames into specks of light.

"What a peculiar flame… But no matter how many tricks you have, they're useless!" Mo Ya's face twisted with savage glee. His chest heaved, and with a roar, he unleashed a torrent of wind blades from his mouth.

The rotating wind blades sliced through Lu Bu's defenses in an instant.

With Lu Bu's puppet occupied by Elder Li and Elder Zhou standing guard, and Kui Sha ensuring no one escaped, Mo Ya was confident. There was no way Lu Bu could escape this time.

Whoosh!

With a sharp crack, Mo Ya dove like a hunting falcon, cutting through the scattered cyan flames and appearing right in front of Lu Bu.

"Young Master Mo Ya, Lu Bu isn't injured like I was!"

A clear voice suddenly rang out, calm and measured.

Mo Ya's pupils contracted as his heart jolted in shock. Distracted, his attack slowed by a fraction.

Whoosh!

A dazzling arc of light burst forth as Lu Bu swung the dagger that had supposedly been lodged in his waist. Gripping it in reverse, he slashed viciously at Mo Ya's wrists, aiming to sever his hands.

"Young Master, watch out!"

Elder Zhou shouted and flapped his Dou Qi wings, pulling Mo Ya back just in time to narrowly evade the blade's deadly arc.

"Tch…" Lu Bu clicked his tongue, feigning regret. Damn Xiao Yan!

Mo Ya landed beside Elder Zhou, his once triumphant expression now thunderous. When he looked back at Lu Bu, he saw no trace of fear or panic only a calm, confident smirk.

"Isn't he just a Dou Ling?" Mo Ya growled through gritted teeth. How can he be this strong?

"Young Master, something's off about this one. It's best to be cautious," Elder Zhou said gravely.

"I refuse to believe he can take both me, an eight star Dou Wang, and you, a five star Dou Huang, at the same time!" Mo Ya's eyes turned bloodshot as his fury surged.

The past days had been filled with maddening thoughts of vengeance, and now his enemy stood before him.

"Heh…" Lu Bu chuckled lightly. Mo Ya's hatred had blinded him to reason, making him impulsive and reckless.

Smiling faintly, Lu Bu decided he would completely shatter Mo Ya's mental state. That way, interrogating him later would be far easier.

"Kill!" Mo Ya roared, his Dou Qi erupting as he charged at Lu Bu like an enraged lion.

Lu Bu's shoulders shook as a pair of purple wings sprouted from his back. With a powerful thrust, he soared into the sky.

On the ground, Xiao Yan and Xiao Xun'er watched the battle unfold above, their brows furrowing.

"Xiao Yan gege, should we leave?" Xiao Xun'er asked after a long silence.

Lu Bu was tough, resourceful, and annoyingly persistent. Most importantly, he seemed like the type to survive any situation no matter what.

If he somehow didn't make it… well, she'd happily celebrate that outcome.

As for the rabble surrounding them, they couldn't possibly contend with Ling Ying.

"Heh, no rush. Let's watch him squirm for a bit," Xiao Yan said, grinning mischievously.

Mo Ya's forces wouldn't be able to take Lu Bu down easily. Xiao Yan was curious to see Lu Bu's true combat strength.

The last time they clashed at Yun Lan Sect, Lu Bu had fought unfairly, catching Xiao Yan off guard. He had only seen a fraction of Lu Bu's abilities.

Adjusting his position in Xiao Xun'er's lap, Xiao Yan smirked. "Xun'er, I love watching Lu Bu get beaten up while lying here with you."

Xiao Xun'er chuckled softly. Amusingly, she felt the same watching Lu Bu get beaten down would be quite satisfying.

"Then let's enjoy the show. No need to rush," she said with a gentle smile.

Up in the sky, oblivious to the duo's sinister thoughts, Lu Bu faced off against Mo Ya.

Seeing Mo Ya's murderous glare, Lu Bu couldn't help but chuckle. Ah, youth… so easy to read.

"Young Master Mo Ya," Lu Bu called out with a faint smile. "We meet again. You look much more pathetic than last time."

"Die!" Mo Ya roared, his eyes bloodshot as he unleashed a wave of purple black energy at Lu Bu.

Lu Bu dodged effortlessly, his cyan flames reducing the attack to harmless sparks.

"Care to tell me why you came near the Inner Academy last time?" Lu Bu asked, still smiling.

But just as he spoke, a black shadow appeared at his side.

Elder Zhou's fingers struck like a venomous snake, aiming directly at Lu Bu's ribs.

Ling Jian Finger!

Elder Zhou's expression turned grim, his attack glowing with a deadly light.

Lu Bu's eyes sharpened. A sneaky, experienced fighter, huh? Too bad it won't work on me.

With a smooth motion, Lu Bu raised his palm, intercepting the strike.

Thud!

Elder Zhou's eyes widened. His supposedly lethal attack had been blocked barehanded.

A moment later, shock gave way to a grim smile. Twisting his wrist, he sent a hidden force into Lu Bu's hand before retreating swiftly.

Bang!

Blood dripped from Lu Bu's palm, staining the air.

"Heh heh…" Elder Zhou reappeared beside Mo Ya, a sinister grin spreading across his face. His earlier strike had been a clever feint, and it had paid off.

Lu Bu frowned, examining his hand. This old fox has better instincts than I expected.

He sighed. "I've gotten a bit too used to bullying weaker opponents…"

As he spoke, purple gold light flared from his palm. In an instant, the damaged skin healed completely, as if nothing had happened.

Golden scales began to shimmer faintly on his hand, their metallic gleam catching the sunlight.
