He decorated his bedroom with notes containing all his favorite messages from the Book of Jati.

He could spend hours each day reading the book, even after completing it 35 times. He would still read it in the middle of the night, even with only a single candle as his source of light.

Talirian was the name of the man, 21 years of age. Amidst the on-going colonialism in his homeland, he was still a devout Jatian. Being the direct descendant of the last king of Laiwana Kingdom, Talirian, along with his family, was a wealthy and highly-respected figure. He had many privileges for being a noble and lived a considerably comfortable life, despite the misery his people endured.

Hundreds of years ago, following the death of Maximilian the Great, the Soravians sailed across the world in search of the source of magic the High Lord possessed. The mass sails resulting in conflict of interest all around the world.

Many lands outside of Soravia were at loss. Foreign kingdoms and tribes fell because of the Soravians' search for magic. Colonialism happened, but it wasn't until decades ago it became much more political when the Soravians had started to consider it impossible to find what they desired so much. Many even started to think magic never existed in the first place, and that Maximilian the Great was a liar.

Regardless, most of the Soravians stayed in the lands they had taken over for decades for various reasons, mainly due to their natural resources. At the same time, they were also on a mission to spread out the prominent religion in Soravia, Aether.

Talirian had a deep interest in religions and beliefs. He learned much not only about Jati, but also other religions, especially Aether. Despite that, the young man was known to be a devout Jatian. Lately, he had also been learning Jati a lot more than usual. But like everyone else did, he had a side he didn't show to anyone: he doubted the truth of Jati.

Tonight, being next to the dim light, Talirian thought of revelation.

"Now, I am awakened," he declared, "'I am the successor of Vokranith. A demigod myself."
