Midterms were finally over, and for the first time in two weeks, my brain didn't feel like it was melting out of my ears. The relief was almost physical, like I could finally breathe without feeling the weight of every textbook I'd been carrying around. Two weeks of relentless studying, endless revision sessions, and making sure everyone I cared about didn't tank their exams had left me exhausted—but I wasn't complaining. I'd done my usual best, and unless the goddess decided to curse my grading sheets, I'd be among the top students again.
Maybe even at the very top… if Caius somehow had a bad week.
Not that I was counting on that. He'd worked himself just as hard as I had, probably harder, and the man was a natural genius. Honestly, I was starting to think he could walk into any exam without studying and still pass with perfect scores.
