The academy were serious about calling it a glitch.
Like some sort of software error that could be patched with a reboot and a tighter firewall. Or in our case, stronger, stable spells.
Still, I had to admit we were lucky. No broken bones, no lasting injuries. I had a scrape on my knee from where I'd hit the floor and Riven had a bruise on his jaw, though I suspected that had more to do with something he did than the actual fight. Caius was bruised when we got out but they were already healed now. Pure bloods healed faster than mixed. Still even he had that quiet, pinched look around his eyes that said he was still processing. We were cleared from the infirmary within hours.
And then came the questioning.
