Morning Visit to Charles' Mansion
In the morning, Edward stepped down from the carriage in front of Charles' mansion. Holding a bouquet and a neatly wrapped gift in his hands, he was greeted warmly at the entrance by the butler, Breum.
"Good morning, Master Edward," Breum said politely.
Edward nodded. "Where is Edeline?"
"She's in her bedroom," Breum replied with a small smile.
Edward thanked him and made his way up the stairs. Above the stairsched the door, he opened it gently and saw Edeline sitting up in bed, leaning against the headboard.
She looked up and smiled faintly. "Oh, brother Edward."
"You don't need to sit up like that," he said softly, walking over and handing her the flowers. "Congratulations."
He placed the gift carefully on the table and pulled a chair close to her bedside, sitting beside her.
