After that unexpected kiss, Lucas and Takagi continued walking through the park. Even though they had admitted their feelings for each other, the atmosphere between them still felt slightly awkward. Takagi tried to maintain her confidence, but the slight blush on her face showed that she was still feeling the effects of the kiss.
Lucas glanced at her and smiled slightly. "You know, I didn't expect you to be that bold. Usually, you'd talk a lot before acting."
Takagi shot him a glare. "Idiot. If I thought too much about it, I might never have done it."
Lucas chuckled. "So, you were afraid another girl would take me away?"
Takagi was silent for a moment before sighing. "I'm not afraid. I just… wanted to be sure. I didn't want to regret waiting too long."
Lucas nodded in understanding. He knew well that Takagi wasn't the type to back down, even when it came to matters of the heart. But seeing this softer, more vulnerable side of her only made him like her even more.
"Saya," Lucas called out in a more serious tone.
"Hm?"
Lucas looked straight into her eyes. "I promise I won't play with your feelings."
Takagi seemed surprised for a moment, then slowly smiled. "Good. Because if you do, I'll be the one to end you."
Lucas burst out laughing. "Wow, I just confessed my feelings, and you're already threatening me?"
Takagi smirked proudly. "Consider it a warning."
Lucas could only shake his head with a smile.
After a while, they arrived in front of Takagi's house. Lucas walked her to the gate and stood there, waiting for her reaction.
Takagi looked at him for a moment before finally saying, "Thanks for today."
Lucas nodded. "Me too. It was a fun date."
Takagi hesitated for a moment, then quickly pecked Lucas on the cheek before turning around and heading inside.
Lucas stood frozen for a second before smiling to himself. "Wow, she really doesn't hold back when she's in love."
