Chapter 19 - Confusion

[A Little after the explosion, before it blew up online(Pun intended?)]

The thing behind the scribbled mask was gone, and back came Ant. The shift was noticeable; the once regal posture and stillness all over the body shifted instantly. Ant slumped, and his hands were trembling. The guards were not paying much attention to him, though; they were on alert in case any accidents occurred or if any enemies managed to slip by the MTF.

I had blinked, and now I was sitting down in a chair, radio in hand, tell me this isn't eerie, let alone the fact that my inner voice said allow me and suddenly I was teleported across the room into a chair. If I didnt know any better, I would assume I just got blipped or something, but that doesn't make sense since I teleported. Whatever erases that line of thought, I still need to fix the situation.

I reached for the radio and turned it on, and instead of a voice of negotiation on the other end, all I heard was explosions, and the guard's voice ringing out that they had successfully retained all important objects and animals.

Okay, apparently I already did... There is something fishy, and not only can I smell it, but I can hear it, touch it, but I can't see it. I have no recollection of the events that occurred, but from what I have gathered so far is that I handled all negotiations and even set off an Alpha warhead, which I didn't even know existed. If I really set off an Alpha warhead, there is no way they would be alive. Scratch that, why would I even set off a Nuclear warhead over some tweezers, a hat, and a cat? Was I possessed by an evil spirit, a demon, or something?

Okay, okay, organize your thoughts, inner me, "I" set off a bomb in a populated area, the guards survived and managed to take all the SCP's, and of course, I'm being hunted by everything that deals with finding at this point. Hmmm, I would be breaking out into a cold sweat right now if it weren't for the fact that everyone is basically dead or severely mangled up and can't exactly follow the guards, and second, I'm on the border between Canada and the USA.

Who am I kidding? Of course, I'm worried if what I was doing before was poking the hornet's nest, I know essentially, poked a hungry polar bear, and covered myself in an irresistible scent, the only caveat being I have the hat that mind controls said polar bear.

[General Ross]

General Ross was a man with a temper hotter than the core of the sun. When he found out what happened, he got hotter than Ghost Rider's flames. He smashed his fists on the table so hard that it spiderwebbed. He had returned from the humiliating defeat at the hands of the Hulk only to receive more bad news.

The poor assistant and others in the room suffered greatly as they would not hear the end of it, even if everyone were to fade away. He was under pressure from his superiors to make a super serum or something like it, and he did with Hulk. Not only did he fail to capture him, but he also had nothing to show for the original disaster, and now he has to deal with the gross mismanagement of missiles? He was certain no missile had vanished without a trace.

With the amount of failure brought by General Ross, it was surprising he was still kept as a general.

[Tony Stark and Pepper Potts]

Tony had to make a hard decision: take pepper and leave Happy, or take both but be unable to make it out of the zone fast enough. Luckily for him, it was not actually a Nuclear Bomb; it was just a missile that levelled the area near the store, nowhere near them. This had greatly decreased stress for all parties involved. Pepper Potts was still quite shaken, however, because suddenly Tony appeared and grabbed her, then told her he would explain things on the way. He had explained things, and it really didn't help; she was in the air.

Once the storm passed, Tony landed and dropped Pepper off as he made his way to the explosion site. Pepper was still weak in the knees from all the sudden revelations, but Happy was doing better as he had absolutely no clue what had happened other than an explosion had occurred, and Pepper was dropped off.

[Little before details]

Hydra didn't achieve anything and lost just as much as everyone else. Alexander Pierce was angry, but not enough that he would openly show it and cause problems. Fury, on the other hand, was very clearly angry, and he didn't try to hide it. When the explosion went off and killed all those agents on the ground, he contacted the site that had the stairs and told them to tighten security and to be aware of everything. He then went into full leader mode and gave out orders like a seasoned auctioneer; he was rapid-firing orders and estimating damage.

Meanwhile, within the criminal underworld, the news spread fast as many ears had been present apart from those of the agencies. It was confirmed that the one who set a missile on our soil was the mysterious group that has been a ghost. Kingpin, being the one in control of the queens' area that was closest to the bombing site, was enraged. A bomb had been set off, the size of an entire yacht.

[Present]

The news did not let up in the slightest; in fact, it has only gotten stronger and stronger. No amount of political nonsense was being accepted like it usually was; the greed of curiosity had been planted, and it was growing larger and larger. The public outcry and the many theories and analyses had been trending worldwide. Everyone and their mommas were talking about it day in and day out. The government had to start pumping out lies just to lower the razor-sharp eyes. The presidency of the current president was all but decided; there was no point in running for reelection.

Stark Industries had been very clear about the incident, insisting it was not one of their weapons, and they were even handing out aid in the thousands for those affected. The sharks in the water didn't discriminate, however, as they continuously searched for food.

[With Ant]

The fallout from this explosion is way worse than the other one, which makes sense. I am very sorry to all the civilians that died, but to be fair, who stays near a place that has tanks, soldiers, agents, and is armed to the teeth? Anyways I have been making some changes around the place after all, I can't allow my lack of skill to be the reason the world ends. For one, I have made it so I am only allowed to suggest ideas and not make plans outright since I'm way too inexperienced. The next thing I did was create a protocol for Marvel SCPS, I guess you could say. Most of the objects here are stupidly strong and overpowered, so I made the protocol very in-depth. First, no touching things suspected of being abnormal for any reason unless I can verify what it is, Second in case of the object forcing you to touch it or it forces itself on you, don't do anything and immediately notify superiors (Me) and describe exactly what entered you or you touched. Now there is more, but most of the other stuff is very specific to certain objects like the infinity stones and such.

The last reform I have made as of now is the ability for captains of squads to be able to recruit people. It's dangerous, but I can imagine a world where the punisher becomes a captain, and that's a very good world. I made the requirements straightforward, and that is passing the captain's test and also undergoing class D amnestics or something like that, of course we don't have those right now, so I guess we won't be seeing new faces anytime soon.
