Axel brought the car to stop, parking it in the spacious underground garage in the basement of the Chandlers' mansion. Brushing back his damp hair, he let out a sigh, and turned around to look at his son.
"Remember what we've discussed. Don't tell granny that we went to the park with River."
"Mn, I know," Ollie obediently nodded his head.
"Good," Axel returned the nod with a smile. "We don't want granny to be jealous, do we?"
Only after this exchange did he open the door, getting out of the car. Their return had been known from the moment they had crossed the front gate, and one of the maids was already in the garage, approaching them to help him with Ollie.
And Axel couldn't have her overhear anything, could he?
'If granny knows we went to the amusement park with River, but didn't take her with us, she will be jealous. She would also like to meet River. And if she's jealous, that will make her sad.'
