In the grand scheme of the world, Oliver's death was soon forgotten. Only Achara seemed a little gloomy about his death.
She sat alone in a far corner of the plaza, waiting for the gate to open, mulling. Her graceful legs that could kick away a car was tightly tucked close to her as she thought about the past.
'The demons need to know that the city is out of their reach.'
Achara remembered the last conversation she had with him.
She remembered how he had proudly declared that he would take down all the demons in the city and protect it. She remembered the unbreakable fighting spirit burning in his eyes when he said that.
'And yet… He died before fulfilling any of his promises.'
'That…'
She couldn't find a word to describe Oliver.
Was he a fool?
An idiot of massive proportions?
He had no reason to personally jump into the sewers and search for the demon. If anything, it was her job. Though his presence saved her, she wanted to scream at him for his stupidity.
