I stared at the mail I received from my work place in disbelief.
'You're fired.'
I blinked once and then twice in disbelief.
I knew I didn't give a damn about my work earlier but right now I did and I was devastated at what stared right back at me.
I just took a day off. A DAY!
And that's all it took for them to fire me.
Although I was also at fault for not calling to inform them I won't be coming so I should really take the blame.
But they were being unfair.
I looked away as I quickly blinked the tears away to get myself together. This was horrible and I felt like shit.
"Ingrid?" Joy called out to me and I quickly hid the letter so she wouldn't be worried.
She's been through a lot and I didn't want to burden her all the more but that didn't mean I won't talk to her about it but not now. And before I tell her I need to make sure I get another job so I won't stress her.
