"You child, if I'm going to do it, then I'll do it."
Sophia Wood didn't bother to say much to Lily Turner and picked up her phone, dialing Easton Holmes.
The call had barely gone through when Easton Holmes answered, "Mom! Is there something you need?"
"Bring the kids over when you come by tonight. Alice and Thomas just registered their marriage today, and we're having a family gathering to celebrate." Since Lily Turner hadn't shared the happy news with Easton Holmes earlier, Sophia Wood took it upon herself to tell her son-in-law.
Easton Holmes had assumed after hanging up with Lily Turner earlier that Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher were just back from Derry Kingdom and would be joining the family for dinner as a welcome home. She hadn't thought of them registering their marriage.
"Sure! I'll bring the kids over later." Since it was a good friend getting married, he had to prepare a big red envelope; otherwise, his wife would make him drink cold water.
