Stop calling!
Even though it was just three simple words, they were enough for Thomas Fisher to understand that Alice Turner couldn't take the call right now. This is what he inferred from those three words.
He didn't call her back but instead composed a message and sent it to her.
"Call me back when it's convenient. I'll be waiting."
Seeing Thomas Fisher's reply, Alice Turner felt a headache coming on. After reading the message, she quickly deleted it and set her phone to vibrate mode.
After dealing with things, she put her phone back into her bag and turned to look out the car window, beginning to zone out at the fleeting streetscape.
Nearly an hour later, the two of them arrived at their destination.
Once the car stopped, Benjamin Shaw was the first to get out. Seeing this, Alice Turner didn't dare to be slow, immediately opened the car door, got out, and followed him inside, one after the other.
