After Alice Turner hung up Sophia Wood's call, she immediately dialed Benjamin Shaw. Before she could say anything after connecting, Benjamin's dissatisfied voice drilled into her ear, "Which man were you just talking to on the phone?"
Benjamin started speaking rashly without any distinction, and Alice's eyebrows instantly knit together with anger. Just as she was about to retort, she swallowed her words, and what she said next completely changed, "You called to talk about the divorce, right? I was just about to call you about that too. Are you free tomorrow morning?"
Now wasn't the time to argue with him; she needed to endure it if she could. The key was to divorce him smoothly.

"Then when are you free?"
