Lily Turner's question immediately painted a faint sadness across Alice Turner's face. She turned to glance at the seat beside her, where a couple was sitting, whispering sweet nothings to each other, oblivious to everything around them.
She retracted her gaze and looked at herself, sitting all alone.
"The boarding is about to begin, so I'll stop chatting with you now. Take care of yourself, and we'll talk when I get back." Alice Turner said all in one breath, not waiting for Lily on the other end of the line to respond, and then hurriedly hung up the phone.
Phew!
After hanging up, Alice exhaled a long breath, but before she could properly relax, two long legs appeared in front of her.
Following the legs upwards with her eyes, when she saw who was standing before her, a hint of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
