"Chloe?"
Lucas hadn't finished speaking when Isabella Gray turned to look at him, her voice tinged with doubt, "What does this have to do with Chloe? Are you saying it was Chloe who introduced the two of you?"
"No, it wasn't." Lucas shook his head, "It was because Chloe's phone was dead that she used Lily's number to contact me, that's how I came to know her."
"Then what did you mean earlier?" Isabella asked.
Lucas sighed, "What I meant was, even when Chloe used her number to contact me back then, I never thought about having any deep connection with her. At that time, it seemed like Chloe had some sort of secret, she was always somewhat unhappy, so I wanted to ask her sister about it.
After all, Lily and Chloe were very close then, so I found out why Chloe was unhappy. Who would've thought, later on..."
We ended up talking, and we got along really well, even some things Lily said struck a chord within me.
Eventually, it developed into this kind of relationship.
