"Awake?" Henry Sullivan's voice sounded by her ear, and Ivy Miller knew she wasn't dreaming.
Just when she vaguely saw this figure in the dark, she knew it was him.
"Uncle, why did you come back? When did you come in, and why didn't I hear a sound at all?"
"You might be too tired, and I was afraid of disturbing you, so I walked in very lightly.
How are you feeling now? Do you feel any better?"
Ivy nodded, "I'm okay now, Uncle, please turn on the light for me."
Henry Sullivan bent over and turned on the bedside lamp.
Seeing his weathered face, Ivy felt a bit worried, "You still haven't answered me. How did you come back?"
"Morning, Dad called me about your situation. I was too worried, so I took leave and came back right away."
Ivy pouted, "Uncle, actually, I'm okay. You didn't have to come back."
Just before sleeping, she was still angry because he hadn't called her all day.
But now seeing him sitting right in front of her, she instantly felt all her anger vanish.
