What he wanted from Klyde was the same thing he wanted from every researcher and scientist he planned to help.
"I'll help you reach the top, so when you're there, I want you to help me as well. I approached you for your skills and what I want is your skills. Nothing more, nothing less."
Obviously, Klyde didn't randomly decide to put all his faith in the little boy sitting next to him, but that was beside the point.
"I won't make anything that I don't want to make and I won't do anything I don't want to do."
"Everything I want you to do is probably something you'd want to do anyway."
Klyde looked at him for a second before sighing and shrugging.
"Fine. I don't believe you can help me much, but if you really do somehow manage to do what nobody else could, then I'll give you what you want."
Trust could be developed over time. Just like Raymond, as long as Klyde was willing to bet on the possibility, Gio could handle the rest.
"Perfect," he replied with a smile.
