Auri's map pulsed again, new ink crawling faint lines across the parchment-like interface. The terrain updated in real time, etching out the tunnel's structure—walls, turns, tight squeezes—but nothing more. No people. No doors. Just raw geography.
Still, a narrow passage had just revealed itself up ahead.
"He couldn't have gone far," Auri muttered, eyes scanning the newly revealed path. "That turn—he must've gone in there. It's tight, but it's the only opening he could've found in the dark."
Darius' eyes flicked to the path, then back to the growing tremors ahead of them. "That won't stop the worm. If we don't reach him first—"
"Then the side quest: save the NPC Hawad will fail."
"En pee... see?"
"Nothing. Forget I ever said that," Auri muttered, waving a hand as if to erase his own words. "Just go!"
