The giant worm screeched—an awful, high-pitched sound that echoed like a dying trumpet through the cavern. Its body surged forward, crushing stone beneath its bulk, each segment rippling with raw power.
"By all the sand-blasted stars—what is that?!" Hawad cried, voice cracking as he tried to crawl backward. "We're doomed! There's no way we can survive that!"
Auri stared, his eyes wide. "Yeah, I think we just triggered the dungeon boss. All we need now is the dramatic cutscene and some doom choir chanting in the background."
"A cut-what?" Hawad shot Auri an incredulous look. "Get serious, Auri! That thing's coming straight for us, and you're cracking jokes?!"
"Be quiet and keep your eyes forward," Darius snapped, his sharp voice cutting through the tension. His gaze locked onto the monstrous worm. "Stay alert. It's not just the big one we need to worry about."
