As the group—alongside the FBI agent Ada—walked out of the police station, Ada was listening to Ben's recording. When it finished, Leon decided to ask about it.
Leon: "So, what did you learn from the tape?"
Ada: "Unfortunately, Ben didn't come through."
Kai: "What kind of info are you even looking for?"
Ada: "Information on the people responsible for all of this."
Leon: "You mean the ones who created these things and started the outbreak."
Ada: "Exactly. What about you guys? Trying to save the world?"
Leon: "Just trying to survive, get out of this hellhole, and save Sherry at the same time."
Y/N: "Same here."
Kai: "Same."
Claire: "I came here looking for my brother, but now that I know he's not here—and with Sherry being kidnapped—I've got two missions instead of one."
Ada: "Good luck with that."
They continued walking until they reached a dead end.
Kai: "Come on! Seriously!? They didn't even finish the damn road!?"
Leon: "Let's take a turn over there—Gun Shop Kendo."
They walked over to the gun shop. The door was locked, but Ada quickly crouched down and began picking the lock. After a few moments, it clicked open.
Y/N: "Cool! High five!"
Ada ignored him and opened the door, stepping inside.
Y/N: "..." :(
Claire: "What a mess."
Leon: "Might as well look for anything useful."
Kai: "Don't expect to find many guns left. People probably looted everything."
Leon found a long barrel attachment on a shelf.
Leon: "This should help boost my shotgun's power."
He attached the part, the weapon now looking bulkier.
Leon: "You need any ammo, Ada?"
Ada: "No, I'm fine. Keep it for yourself."
Y/N started walking toward the back of the shop, but suddenly—
A shotgun clicked.
???: "Don't move."
Y/N froze, glancing sideways to see an older man holding a shotgun.
Y/N: "Sir, calm dow—"
???: "I SAID DON'T F*CKING MOVE!"
The rest of the group immediately stepped out, raising their weapons.
Kai: "Wait! Mr. Kendo!"
Kendo: "Kai?"
Kai: "Lower your guns, everyone. He's a friend."
They lowered their weapons as Kai approached and hugged the man.
Kendo: "Good thing you're still alive, kid. I was worried."
Suddenly, the back door opened. A small girl walked out—she looked pale, sick, and infected.
Girl: "D-Daddy…"
Kai: "Oh, no…"
Ada immediately aimed her gun at the child.
Kendo: "WAIT! STOP!"
Kai: "What the hell are you doing?!"
Ada: "She's infected. We need to end it before she turns."
Kendo: "She's my f*cking daughter!"
Leon: "Ada, lower your gun."
Claire: "Ada! Don't!"
Y/N placed a hand on Ada's shoulder.
Y/N: "Ada."
She looked at him for a moment. He silently shook his head. She sighed and finally lowered her weapon, brushing his hand off.
Kendo: "Emma, sweetheart, I told you to stay put."
Emma: "D…Daddy?"
Kendo lowered his shotgun and went to her side.
Kendo: "Yeah, Emmie. Daddy's here. I'm here, okay?"
He hugged his daughter tightly. Y/N could only stand there, silent.
Kendo: "Those monsters outside… look what they did to us. Those cops were supposed to know something. So how did this happen, huh?!" he shouted, glaring at Leon.
Leon: "Sir, I—" he began, but fell silent.
Kendo: "She was our sweet little angel."
Emma: "Mommy?"
Kendo's expression softened, his voice breaking.
Kendo: "Mommy's sleeping, honey. Okay? And I'm gonna put you to bed too, okay? Emma."
He gently picked her up and carried her toward the back door. Before closing it, he looked at the group one last time, tears in his eyes.
Kendo: "Just… go. Give us some privacy."
He shut the door.
A few seconds later—BANG.
No one spoke. Y/N looked down, fists clenched. Kai and Leon did the same, while Claire wiped a tear from her cheek.
Kai: "So many people have suffered because of this…"
Leon: "It's even worse when you're forced to kill the ones you love."
Y/N: "All because someone created this mess."
He turned to Ada, eyes cold. Claire looked at her too.
Claire: "What did those people ever do to deserve this!?"
Ada was silent for a moment before adjusting her glasses.
Ada: "My mission is to find the one behind it all—and stop them. Are you in?"
They exchanged determined looks. Y/N turned back toward Kendo's door.
Y/N: "I swear to the God who lifted the seven skies… I'm gonna find whoever did this—and I'll punch him so hard in the face it'll echo across hell."

Time Skip
The group continued down the alley beside the gun shop. Suddenly, a zombie stumbled into their path.
Leon: "Zombie! I'll take the shot—"
Kai: "Hold up… you hear that?"
Leon: "Is that… the Dark Souls III boss soundtrack?"
Ada: "That's ridiculous—wait, I'm actually hearing it."
They turned to see Y/N slowly walking toward the zombie—his aura practically radiating fury.
The zombie froze, trembling as Y/N towered over it.
Zombie: "W-wroar…?"
Then—BAM! Y/N beat the living hell out of it.
Ada covered Claire's eyes. Kai looked terrified. Leon was on the verge of passing out.
When Y/N was done, he sighed in relief, turned around, and smiled.
Y/N: "Hm? What's wrong?"
Kai: "I-I-I'm s-sorry…"
Y/N: "For what?"
Kai: "I-I don't know…"
Leon: "Remind me never to get on your bad side."
The group continued their journey until they reached a fork in the path—one leading to a sewer pipe and the other to the orphanage.
Ada: "We need to take the pipe. It'll lead us to Umbrella's underground lab."
Kai: "But the orphanage—that's where Sherry is!"
Y/N: "We'll split up. Kai, you and Claire go to the orphanage to rescue Sherry. Leon, Ada, and I will head to the lab to find whoever's behind this. We'll meet at Raccoon City's main metro station."
Claire: "Good plan. Take care, you three."
Y/N: "Thanks. And Kai…"
He grabbed Kai's hand and gripped it tightly.
Y/N: "If you find that old bastard, punch him so hard his grandkids will feel it. Got it?"
Kai smirked and nodded.
Kai: "You got my word."
Y/N smiled as the group separated—each heading toward their own fate.
