Y/N was the last to climb up the ladder when suddenly, a deafening crash echoed behind him.
Nemesis burst through the concrete wall, roaring as dust and debris flew everywhere. Before Y/N could react, the towering monster grabbed him by the head and hurled him straight toward Leon and Ada.
The three tumbled to the ground in a heap. Leon scrambled up first, shotgun raised—his eyes widening at the sight before him.
Leon: "What in bloody hell is that?!"
Y/N: "Oh, f*ck—it's Nemesis!"
The creature turned its head toward Y/N, raising what looked like a massive flamethrower and pointing it right at him.
Y/N: "He's got a flamethrower?! Cool!"
Leon: "That's Nemesis?! You never said he could use weapons!"
Ada: "I think now would be a good time to run!"
They sprinted toward a nearby structure as Y/N slammed the door behind them.
Nemesis: "S.T.A.R.S!!!"
Flames burst from the weapon, scorching the metal.
Leon: "It can talk?!"
Y/N: "Yeah, that surprises me too! Now keep moving!"
The heavy footsteps of Nemesis thundered behind them, his flamethrower roaring and growls echoing through the halls.
Nemesis: "S.T.A.R.S!!!"
They kept climbing upward through the half-finished building. Just as a zombie lunged from the side, a bullet whizzed past Y/N and blew its head apart.
Y/N: "Jill?!"
Jill: "Y/N! Up here!"
Ada: "You heard her!"
The three rushed to the fire escape. Leon pulled down the ladder, and they scrambled up to the next level.
Y/N: "Jill, I'm so glad to see you again!"
Jill immediately pulled him into a hug.
Y/N: "I love hugs, but I don't think this is the best time for one!!"
Jill: "I know. Now let's move!"
Before they could catch their breath, Nemesis smashed through the roof with a thunderous crash—his flamethrower burning red-hot.
Y/N: "Alright, f*ck this! I'm done running from this guy! I'm killing this son of a bitch right here, right now!"
Leon slammed a new magazine into his shotgun and attached an under-barrel mod. Y/N cracked his knuckles.
Leon: "Let's show this bastard what we're made of!"
Ada (thinking, awed): These guys are insane… and kind of amazing.

Y/N charged forward, fists flying. His punches barely fazed Nemesis, who countered by unleashing a stream of fire. Y/N rolled aside just in time as Leon moved in, firing his shotgun attachment.
Ada kept her distance, taking precise shots from behind stacks of construction materials.
Jill spotted a tanker near Nemesis's back.
Jill: "Shoot the tanker! It's wide open—on his backside!"
Ada: "You heard her, boys—cook this creep!"
Leon circled behind Nemesis and unloaded his weapon into the tanker. The explosions sparked flames as Y/N kept punching the weak spot between dodges—his fists searing from the heat.
Y/N: "Ah! It burns—it burns—it burns!!"
Leon kept firing until his gun clicked empty.
Leon: "Fire in the hole!"
He pulled out a grenade and threw it at the tanker. The explosion erupted across Nemesis's back, sending him stumbling to one knee—but he wasn't down yet.
The flamethrower melted away, leaving only the broken frame, which Nemesis now used as a makeshift club.
Leon: "You've got to be kidding me!"
Y/N: "Just die already!!!"
Leon reloaded, but Nemesis swung the weapon and swatted him aside like a rag doll. Leon's shotgun skidded across the rooftop as he barely managed to grab the ledge.
Y/N: "Leon!"
Ada: "Damn it…"
Ada sprinted forward, grabbing Leon's shotgun.
Ada: "Come on, you bastard—let's rock!"
She opened fire, bullets slamming into Nemesis's chest. The creature turned, charging at her.
Ada: "Oh, shit!"
At the last second, Y/N tackled Nemesis from the side, slamming into him like a linebacker and crashing both of them into a wall. Nemesis roared, swinging the broken flamethrower down onto Y/N. He caught the blow with his arms, dropping to one knee under the immense force.
Y/N: "It burns—it burns—IT BURNS!!"
Nemesis growled lowly, the sound almost like a laugh.
Nemesis: "S.T.A.A.A.R.S!!!"
He pushed harder, ready to crush Y/N into the ground—until suddenly, he screamed in pain. Leon was back, a fire axe buried in Nemesis's neck.
Leon held on tight like a rodeo rider, yanking a belt of grenades from his side and shoving it into Nemesis's mouth.
Leon: "Time for your meds, motherf*cker! Y/N!!"
He yanked the pin and leapt off.
Y/N didn't hesitate—he charged forward, shoving Nemesis with every ounce of strength he had.
Y/N: "Go to hell!!!"
With one final kick, he sent the monster plummeting off the roof. The grenades detonated mid-fall, the explosion lighting up the street below.
Y/N: "And stay dead!!!"

Jill ran up and threw her arms around him in a tight hug.
Y/N: "Ooomph! Jill?"
Jill: "Now it's the right time for a hug."
Y/N grinned like a kid and hugged her back.
Y/N: "Hell yeah!"

Suddenly, Kai's voice crackled over the radio.
Kai: "Y/N, do you copy? This is Kai. We found Sherry—we're outside the orphanage."
Y/N: "Kai! Nice work! Did you punch the guy in the face for me?"
Kai: "So hard."
Y/N chuckled, pulling away from Jill.
Y/N: "Can you put Sherry on?"
Sherry: "Hello?"
Y/N: "Sherry! Oh, thank God!"
Sherry: "Big brother! Claire and Kai got me away from the bad man!"
Kai: "Leon, Y/N—we're heading to Raccoon City's main train station. Meet us there."
Y/N: "Got it. And if you run into someone named Carlos, tell him you know me."
Kai: "Alright. Stay safe."

After the call ended, Y/N turned to the others.
Ada: "…Guess this means we part ways."
Y/N: "Wait—you're not coming?"
Ada: "I still have my mission. If anyone's going after Dr. Annette Birkin, it has to be me."
Y/N: "Ada…"
She glanced at Leon.
Ada: "You mind?"
Leon handed her a few magazines. She reloaded calmly.
Ada: "Thanks."
Leon: "Good luck."
Y/N looked down, clearly worried. Ada stepped closer, tilting his chin up with a gloved finger and giving him a reassuring smile.
Ada: "Hey. I'll be fine. I survived this long before meeting you guys."
Y/N: "I know, but… what about the super Resident Evil team?"
Ada: "The what now?"
Y/N: "Didn't I tell you? We're a team now! You, me, Jill, Leon, Kai, Claire, and Sherry—we're the Resident Evil team!"
The three laughed.
Suddenly, the radio crackled again.
Carlos: "Hey! I thought I was part of the team too!"
Y/N: "Oh, right—you can join too!"
Mikhail: "Is there a spot for me?"
Y/N: "Of course!"
Everyone laughed again. Ada shook her head with a soft chuckle.
Ada: "You really are terrible at naming things~"
She leaned in close, brushing her lips against the corner of his mouth—leaving a perfect red lipstick mark.
Ada: "Well… I guess that means I'm part of the Resident Evil team."
She smirked, turned, and walked away—heels clicking on the metal floor until she disappeared from sight.
Y/N stood there, blinking in confusion, still smiling like a fool.
Y/N: "She approved of the name! Awesome!"
Jill slowly raised her pistol toward Ada's retreating figure, but Leon gently lowered it.
Leon: "Let her go."
Y/N: "Alright, team. Let's move—before we miss that train."
