Konoha Village.
Inside Naruto's home, the atmosphere was warm and lively.
Hinata was visibly happy because of Naruto's return. Minato and Kushina had also come over, and the entire family was gathered together at last.
Kushina walked up to Naruto, cupped his face with both hands, and looked at him carefully. Her eyes were filled with heartache as she spoke.
"Naruto… you've really changed a lot."
Naruto smiled softly.
"Don't worry, Mom. I'm still Uzumaki Naruto."
Minato stood slightly behind Kushina. Compared to her, he wasn't as expressive, but the concern in his eyes was just as deep. As a father, he could clearly feel that Naruto's aura was becoming more and more similar to that of the Ōtsutsuki—detached, powerful, and far beyond ordinary humans.
Hinata was busy in the kitchen. When Kushina noticed this, she immediately walked over, gently pulled Hinata out, and pushed her back toward the living room.
"Hinata, stop working. Let Naruto spend some time with you."
Seeing this, Minato also went into the kitchen to help instead.
In the living room, Naruto and Hinata sat close together, leaning against one another.
"Naruto," Hinata said softly, "it must be very hard for you to be alone out there, right?"
Naruto turned his head and smiled at her.
"Why do you ask that?"
Hinata lowered her gaze slightly, her voice gentle but worried.
"Sasuke is in the village now, but you're always outside. In the past, when you faced danger, you at least had Sasuke fighting side by side with you. But now… you've become so strong, and you're walking alone. Sasuke can't even stand beside you anymore."
Naruto fell silent for a few seconds.
Then he took a deep breath and spoke honestly.
"There's nothing I can do about it. The further I go, the lonelier the road becomes."
Hearing this, Hinata suddenly hugged him tightly.
"Naruto-kun…"
Naruto wrapped his arms around her in return and smiled reassuringly.
"It's okay. Don't worry. I'm very strong now. For you, for the village, and for the entire ninja world, I will definitely win."
Hinata looked up at him, her eyes full of trust.
"I believe you."
After a short pause, Hinata seemed to gather her courage.
"By the way, Naruto… I have good news to tell you."
Naruto blinked.
"Oh? What is it?"
Hinata's face turned slightly red. She gently placed a hand over her abdomen and looked at Naruto shyly.
"I'm pregnant."
For a moment, Naruto was completely stunned.
Then his eyes widened in disbelief.
"R-Really?!"
Hinata nodded softly.
"Yes. I already had Sister Shizune confirm it. I wanted to tell you earlier, but I was afraid you were too busy outside, so I didn't say anything."
Naruto was overwhelmed with emotion. He slowly reached out and placed his hand on Hinata's belly, just like he had in his previous life.
"I'm… I'm going to be a father."
Hinata smiled gently, covering Naruto's hand with her own.
"Naruto, you must stay safe."
Naruto understood the meaning behind her words and smiled with firm confidence.
"Don't worry. Believe in me."
If nothing changed, the child inside Hinata was Boruto. According to the timeline, this was exactly when Boruto should be conceived. Thinking of this, Naruto felt the weight on his shoulders become even more real and tangible.
"Dinner's almost ready!"
Kushina's voice came from the kitchen.
Hinata quickly stood up.
"Mom, let me help!"
Kushina immediately stopped her and guided her back to the sofa.
"No, no. You sit down properly. You need to rest more now. Don't move around too much."
After settling Hinata, Kushina turned to Naruto.
"Naruto, you help get things ready. Don't let Hinata do anything."
Naruto nodded obediently.
"Okay."
Hinata sat on the sofa, watching Naruto with a gentle smile. At this moment, she felt completely at ease.
After a few more minutes, dinner was ready.
The whole family gathered around the table, eating happily together.
In truth, Minato and Kushina mostly watched Naruto and Hinata eat. Because they were reincarnated bodies, they didn't need food in the same way. As for why they hadn't been fully resurrected, it was because Minato had firmly refused.
Itachi and Shisui could be revived, but Minato, as the Fourth Hokage, believed Naruto shouldn't rely too much on forbidden techniques. He didn't want Naruto to create dissatisfaction or imbalance in the world.
Seeing Minato's determination, Naruto hadn't forced the issue.
After dinner, Kushina went to wash the dishes. Hinata couldn't sit still and insisted on helping, so Kushina assigned her some light cleaning work instead.
Minato and Naruto stood together on the balcony.
Father and son stood side by side, watching the sunset slowly sink below the horizon.
"Naruto," Minato said quietly, "have you absorbed more Ōtsutsuki power again?"
Naruto nodded.
"Yes."
Minato smiled slightly, as if a doubt had finally been answered.
"No wonder. You're starting to resemble Kaguya and the Sage of Six Paths more and more."
Naruto sighed softly.
"There's no choice. The Ōtsutsuki have the most complete control over chakra. They continuously harvest it, strengthen themselves, and dominate the universe."
"The universe?" Minato turned to him, his expression serious. "You mean… beyond the stars?"
Naruto nodded.
"That's right. The ninja world is vast, but the universe is far bigger than I ever imagined. There are other worlds, other races, and other forms of life."
"The Ōtsutsuki use the God Tree to harvest the vitality of planets, condense it into Chakra Fruits, and then consume them. Each time they do, their bodies evolve and grow stronger."
Naruto's gaze darkened slightly.
"And Earth… was one of their targets."
Minato looked at Naruto in silence. At this moment, he felt a deep sense of helplessness. For the first time, he realized how small his role as a father had become.
In the past, protecting the village had already felt like an enormous burden. Now, his son was shouldering the fate of the entire ninja world.
After a moment, Minato stepped closer and placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"Naruto, you've already done more than enough. Just do your best."
Naruto turned and smiled at him.
"Dad, I understand what you're saying. But I have my family, my friends, my village, and this world on my shoulders. I don't have the option to lose."
Minato fell silent.
Those words were exactly the same ones he had once lived by.
He patted Naruto's shoulder and smiled warmly.
"Go on, Naruto. No matter what happens, your mother and I will always stand behind you."
Naruto nodded softly.
Parents were sometimes the greatest source of strength. No matter how far you went, just thinking of them could give you the power to move forward.
That night, Naruto held Hinata in his arms, and the two of them slept peacefully together.
The Next Day.
Hokage's Office.
Naruto came to see Kakashi to ask about Code and Kawaki.
Kakashi smiled as he replied, "Everything's been arranged. They've both joined a class. I asked Iruka to take personal responsibility for them."
Naruto felt relieved when he heard Iruka's name.
If Iruka-sensei hadn't cared for him back then, there might never have been an Uzumaki Naruto as he was today.
"I hope Iruka-sensei can guide Code and Kawaki properly as well."
Naruto nodded and said, "Kakashi-sensei, I want to go take a look."
Kakashi stood up.
"No problem. I'm free anyway. I'll go with you."
"Alright."
The two of them left together and headed toward the Ninja Academy.
