Chapter 198: Leave Broly Behind? Trouble Ensues

"This is the rule!"

"Ugh…" Lin Qi looked irritated. Faced with Whis's serious expression, he understood—this damn rule was probably real.

The worst part? He couldn't beat Whis. So now he had to take Broly with him?

"What's all the noise about?" At that moment, Beerus came out, yawning and rubbing his ears.

"Can't a guy get some sleep around here?! I just laid down, and you guys are out here making a racket! So annoying!"

"Lord Beerus, didn't you say you were going to sleep?" Whis turned to look at Beerus as he approached.

"Ow, ow, ow…" Goku limped over to Vegeta, holding his head.

"Vegeta, I'm telling you, this guy is insane! I even transformed into a Super Saiyan God and still couldn't stop him!"

"Hmph, you're just weak. If it had been me, I definitely would've beaten him," Vegeta scoffed, arms crossed, full of confidence again.

"Who is this guy…" Beerus finally noticed Broly lying on the ground and began grumbling with his hands on his hips.

"What do you all take my divine realm for? A tourist spot? One, two, three of you just keep showing up! Lin Qi, what kind of nonsense are you up to now?"

Lin Qi casually cleaned his ears, unfazed. "I just happened to find a promising talent, you know?"

"Brought him here as a potential candidate for God of Destruction! How was I supposed to know Whis wouldn't agree? Broly's even stronger than Goku!"

"Tch. He can't control himself and just goes berserk. What's the point of being strong?" Vegeta was firmly opposed.

"A walking war machine, huh?" Beerus clearly didn't care either and waved impatiently. "Send him back to wherever he came from. What do you think this place is?"

"A Saiyan shelter?!"

Beerus wasn't thrilled about more Saiyans coming to his domain. He had already dumped Goku and Vegeta on Whis. Couldn't they see he was starting to regret even that? Any more, and he'd never get decent sleep again!

"I just thought if he could overcome his weakness—going berserk the moment he sees Goku—it'd be good for him," Lin Qi shrugged off Beerus's complaints.

Especially with the Tournament of Power coming up…

What, were they really going to send Earth's strongest noseless man and that ghostly old guy again?

Lin Qi hefted Broly and laid him down under a big tree, glancing over at the yawning Beerus. "Are you really not going to let him stay? Whis could train his berserk tendencies!"

"How about… eight hundred deluxe seafood platters?" Lin Qi was ready to go all-in. "Think of it as doing me a small favor!"

"I think he's really strong too!" Goku nodded in agreement. "He'd make a great sparring partner!"

"What was that transformation anyway?" Vegeta frowned, lost in thought.

Since when did Saiyans have that many color variations?

"Ugh, fine… teaching two or three is all the same," Whis finally seemed to relent, his eyes gleaming. "Eight hundred seafood platters!"

"I want some too!" Beerus perked up, suddenly wide awake. He stared intently at Lin Qi. "I want eight hundred too. If not, I'm kicking that guy out!"

"Hey… he's waking up!" Goku was still next to Broly and reached out to poke his cheek. "Hey, wake up! Let's fight again!"

"Did I… lose control again?" Broly sat up, rubbing the back of his neck, looking sheepishly at Goku.

"Kakarot… Kakarot! You bastard… graaahhh!"

Whis helplessly put a hand to his face. "Oh dear… here he goes again."

"This guy's seriously strange. He only loses it when he sees Goku?" Beerus swept his gaze across the group, then looked up at the two who had already started fighting midair.

"Wait up, Kakarot! This time it's my turn!" Vegeta saw the fight intensifying above and leapt into the air as well.

"Broly, huh? Why does he lose it every time he sees Goku?" Whis was already swiping through the glowing magic stone on his staff, looking deeply intrigued.

Lin Qi looked helpless. "Sigh… looks like it's going to take a long time to get his emotions under control. Especially since he's bound to run into Goku and the others a lot."

"Well, I'm off to place the food order!" Lin Qi ditched the mess and flew straight back to Earth.

On Earth.

Lin Qi arrived at Kami's Lookout. The spacious, empty hall only had Mr. Popo and Dende standing at the edge, looking down at the world below.

"Where are Nappa and Raditz?" Lin Qi walked slowly up behind them, arms crossed.

Hearing the voice, Dende turned around quickly and looked pleasantly surprised. "Mr. Lin Qi… Nappa and Raditz never came back after they left last time."

"Miss Bulma said they took a spaceship—seems like they were planning some kind of interstellar trip!"

Lin Qi raised an eyebrow. He didn't call them out, but he figured those two probably weren't going on any vacation—they were likely off to Namek in search of Dragon Balls.

"I see… did they say when they'd be back?" Lin Qi asked casually.

Dende shook his head, and Lin Qi didn't press it. Just as he was about to fly down from the platform, he felt a ripple in space-time.

Turning his head southwest, Lin Qi saw a time portal open up. A battered Future Trunks fell out of it.

"Trunks?" Lin Qi frowned and caught him quickly. "Something happened over at Chronoa's side?"

"Lin Qi… please save everyone… and the Supreme Kai of Time…"

Trunks's voice was weak. Lin Qi hurriedly fed him a senzu bean, which helped him stabilize a bit.

"There's no time…" Trunks clutched Lin Qi's arm tightly. "You have to go save them now! Even Gogeta probably won't last much longer!"

"What happened? You need to explain first!" Lin Qi was getting exasperated. How was he supposed to help without knowing the situation?

"It's Demigra! He's kidnapped Pan and Goten…" Trunks quickly explained.

"He used them to force us into handing over all the Negative Scrolls!"

"Negative Scrolls? What are those?" Lin Qi raised a brow, looking a little baffled at Trunks.

He hadn't expected that, after finally dealing with Mechikabura, the traitorous Demigra would become the next major boss.

"You don't know? They're scrolls formed from the negative energy of destroyed timelines!"

Trunks looked surprised—there were actually things Lin Qi didn't know.

"Some missions in the original timelines failed, which caused those timelines to deviate drastically from what they were supposed to be. That's what created those scrolls!"
