In another private room.
The White Queen excitedly watched the performance of the Demoness Dance Troupe.
"Honey, I bet the one leading the dance is definitely Isabella Vira, the leader of the Demoness Dance Troupe. I never thought, even though we can't see her face, her dance would still be so graceful and mesmerizing. Her movements are so beautiful you can't take your eyes off her!"
"Mm-hmm."
Logan nodded indifferently.
He had no real connection to art appreciation, but he had to admit that the performance on stage was indeed pleasing to the eye.
The White Queen then remembered that Logan had lost his past memories. She lightly walked over to him and sat on his lap.
"Honey, how about we go on a date tomorrow?"
Logan looked at her with a smile in her eyes and thought for a moment. "Can I smoke during the date?"
"No."
"How about drinking?"
"That's fine. How about a romantic candlelit dinner tomorrow night?"
Meanwhile, as New York was still immersed in the performance, in Antarctica...
A small squad of over ten people trudged through the harsh environment. They all wore Hydra insignia on their chests, standing out in the white snow.
The leader of the team was a terrifying woman whose skin appeared to have been brutally peeled off, sending chills down anyone's spine.
The daughter of the Red Skull—Original Sin!
"We're here. This is it. The Red Skull's treasure. The guardians inside are the last group of Nazis. Only the Red Skull himself can allow passage," Original Sin said excitedly, looking at a fortress not far away.
The Hydra agents around her wordlessly picked up their weapons.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The intense gunfire shattered the tranquility of the fortress.
Most of the guards inside were elderly men and middle-aged soldiers, and facing the well-trained, heavily armed Hydra squad, they were no match. Soon, they were ruthlessly slaughtered.
Original Sin entered a secret room.
In the center of the room was a frozen iron hammer.
This fortress had been built by the Red Skull to house the hammer, for he believed that it contained immense power.
"Sir, whatever you plan to do, please hurry. We need to leave immediately," one of the Hydra agents reminded.
No one knew Hydra better than Hydra itself—they couldn't afford to delay any longer.
"Those traitors!" Original Sin's eyes were filled with hatred.
Because they refused to bow to the Dark Lord, they not only stole her resources and technology but also sought to eliminate her as the true heir.
Hydra was down to just this small group.
But soon, her eyes darkened and were replaced by arrogance.
"It doesn't matter. I will soon kill the Dark Lord and rule the world."
Despite being brainwashed to be loyal to her, the Hydra agents around her couldn't help but look at her with doubt.
"Kill the Dark Lord? Are you dreaming?"
Original Sin—no, now it was Thor Hammer Master Skadi—reached out and lightly touched the hammer. A symbol on its handle glowed.
In an instant.
A white light erupted with an overwhelming cold, scattering through the air.
The Hydra agents in the vicinity felt as if they had been thrust into a frigid, snow-covered wasteland. The piercing cold made them shiver uncontrollably.
As the white light slowly faded, Skadi was now dressed in a yellow and green glowing battle armor, with a rune-like symbol on her body.
"I have been reborn!" she declared.
[I have been reborn!]
A voice, not hers, echoed in her mind.
[Kill them all, spread fear across the land, then go find my father!]
Skadi—no longer Original Sin—coldly glanced at the Hydra agents around her.
"Sir..." one of the agents spoke, sensing her chilling gaze, a fear rising in their hearts.
"Die," Skadi said emotionlessly.
She raised the giant war hammer in her hand.
The hammer crackled with black lightning, swirling around it like wild serpents, accompanied by a deep rumbling sound of thunder.
Boom!
With a tremendous blast, the ground trembled violently.
The once-impenetrable fortress collapsed into rubble in the wake of this terrifying blow.
Skadi didn't stay to admire her work. In a flash, she streaked across the sky like a meteor, shooting into the vast heavens.
Not long after.
An aircraft descended from the sky.
Baron Zemo, along with a Hydra squad, appeared among the ruins.
"Search thoroughly. Find her," he ordered, his face grim.
The Hydra agents spread out to look for clues.
Baron Zemo came to the site of the explosion, his face pale as he observed the crater.
He reached out and gently touched the edge. An electric spark shot through his hand, and his fingers blackened.
"The Red Skull's treasure is real."
Shaking his hand, Baron Zemo took out a communicator.
"Baron, why are you contacting me now? The mission has failed. How could you be outdone by a junior?" came Pierce's amused voice from the other end.
"..." Zemo responded quietly.
"I underestimated her. She gave up all resources, equipment, and most of her Hydra squad to distract me.
Now I've arrived at a destroyed fortress. It must have been Skadi who did it. The Red Skull's treasure is real, and she gained immense power."
Baron Zemo's face was grim, but he reported the situation truthfully.
"After all, she is the Red Skull's daughter. This mission is over. Although we didn't capture her, we've secured Hydra's last legacy—the technology."
Pierce spoke calmly.
"Why? Shouldn't we continue searching for her? From the traces left, a single strike destroyed a medium-sized fortress. With that kind of power, she could return at any time."
Baron Zemo was puzzled.
"Baron, it seems you haven't adjusted to your new identity. We are no longer the old Hydra hiding in the shadows. We've been reborn into a new Hydra in the light.
What if she comes back? We have the entire planet behind us. How could she ever surpass our leader?"
Pierce said lightly.
"Hahaha, you're right. We're the new Hydra now. I guess I need to relearn the Hydra philosophy to avoid embarrassing ourselves in the future."
Baron Zemo finally understood and felt reassured.
"There's nothing to worry about. Skadi will show up eventually, and when she does, there will be plenty of people to handle her."
"Everyone, stop looking for clues. Search for any intact equipment or data, then leave this damn place," Zemo ordered.
The Hydra agents acted quickly. Within minutes, they had gathered everything they could and boarded the plane.
In the Pacific Ocean.
A meteor streaked into the sea.
It was Skadi, plunging down rapidly.
Soon, she reached the deep sea's bottom.
It was pitch dark and eerily silent.
Suddenly, the war hammer in her hand emitted a dazzling light, illuminating the dark depths.
This light also drew the attention of the guardians of this sea—four enormous Eastern-style dragons.
They bared their massive jaws, ready to devour the intruder.
